I'm assuming that both programmes were set in the same state. For that reason I'm going for Hawaii 5-0 and Magnum PI.
Magnum is one of them, but the other is not correct.

I can't think of any other Hawaii-based programme, so I'll play a wild card of Miami Vice.Magnum is one of them, but the other is not correct.

Columbo and Murder She Wrote?
I'll go for Murder She Wrote on the geographical location of Cabot Cove and the length of time the series ran
Cagney and Lacey was set in New York City so I doubt that is correct. Murder she wrote is set in Maine so I reckon 341o2 is correct.Lets try Cagney & Lacey
Correct... there was a three episode series in which Angela Lansbury had to get a falsely accused Tom Selleck out of jail!
Now, both @MotCO and @341o2 have each supplied 50% of the answer, so I detect that they will need to decide between them which of them will take the Director's chair for the next question.
Lee Majors - I am the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine - or words something similar. He plays a character called Colt Zeevers or something like that.Nearly there, The Fall....who? Leading role male, once married to Farrah Fawcett. In the title song, he sings of how he does all the dangerous stuff, but never gets the girl
Is this the series JK Rowling wrote? No idea about the theme song
The only non Harry Potter book I recall she wrote was A Casual Vacancy (which I thought was rubbishBut iirc she wrote under a pseudonym but can’t remember that name either though I think it was masculine sounding name
I would be absolute shocked if that was the right answerMel B
