No, you're an ace lumberjack! Inner London phone codes were 01, then changed in May 1990 to 071, changing again to 0171 in 1995, and on to 0207 in 2000.

(Whoops - just noticed that the third increase should have been 36, not 30  .

OK try this.

Why is Teddy Sheringham responsible for David Beckham’s daughter’s middle name?

Is she Harper Seven, so I assume Teddy Sheringham played at No. 7.

Did Sheringham think she was child no.7?
Did Sheringham think she could be a model for Boots no. 7 products?

Was it a typo by Sheringham? She was meant to be called Sven?

Sheringham was signed as Cantona’s replacement, thereby taking the number 7 shirt by default. He ‘offered’ the shirt number to Beckham as a mark of respect and a good PR exercise too. Or something like that.

Not quite. Lots of people close to the answer but nobody has got it

The answer is the season before Sheringham signed, Beckham had been number 10. Sheringham insisted he was given 10, so Beckham moved to 7 which had been vacant since Cantona left. Beckham then went onto ever greater fame and fortune and became seen as an “iconic” wearer of the 7, to the point that he chose it as his poor daughter’s middle name. If Sheringham hadn’t been so precious about being 10, it wouldn’t have happened

Anyway, open floor

British politics:

Since the 2010 General Election, two MPs representing the same constituency have each held one of the Great Offices of State. Name the MPs and the constituency.

I think I know this. The Constituency is Richmond in Yorkshire. The holders of great office of state are Rishi Sunak current Chancellor and of course William Hague who was foreign secretary under Cameron.

Film. What's the connection between the image below and the death of West Side Story actress Natalie Wood?

This is a long shot so apologies if I am barking up the wrong tree.

The image resembles a ‘spinning spaceship’ in which, in theory, the occupants would experience a force akin to gravity and so avoid the feeling of weightlessness.

Natalie Wood drowned after falling from Robert Wagner’s yacht (which was ironic because she was terrified of water and feared drowning). Did her last film involve a spinning spaceship?

Mostly Glasgow-ish. Mostly.

Afraid not, but good try!
