To go round a farm in the Pennines, actually I think there were geological reasons or something.

It splits either side of a farm somewhere, I've been past it and I think it was nearer the Leeds end but I'm not sure where without googling it. My stepbrother who lives in Leeds said it was because the farmer at the time was awkward in his dealings with the Department of Transport and they decided to teach him a lesson, but he's since said that he's not sure if that's actually true?

I have to award this one to Dale, as he has correctly stated the reason for the carrigeways being split.

The location is Scott Hall Farm, and there is an Urban Myth that the farmers, Mr and Mrs Wild refused to sell up and staged a protest that held up construction for so long that the DfT just built round the house instead. As lovely as this story is, it's not true.
The reason that is given is that the ground around Scott Hall Farm was unsuitable, for builing the Motorway for geological reasons (too soft, or something like that), so they built round the farm where the ground was more appropriate.

Just for the avoidance of doubt, my answer came from reading the above 3 posts and putting two and two together to form an informed guess. Before the question I had never heard of such a drink, much less sampled one.

Because it was a guess riding on others coat tails, I'll open the floor.

I remember that bit of the film where he asks a headbanging guy a question who then completely has ignores him and he just says "thank you" and walks off. Can't for the life of me remember the band though.
I'll go for Cradle of Filth? I'm fairly sure it wasn't though.
