Finally got there, they are of course the mass (in grams) of the current 5p, 10p, 20p, 50p, £1 and £2 coins. It doesn't seem right that the 20p is lighter than the 10p.

It doesn't. I always thought a 2p weighed two times the weight of a 1p which weighed two times the weight of a half pence, but I think I was wrong and yet again have learnt something new on here.

You're correct about the weight of the "copper" coins.

The Road to Singapore opened in 1940 and the series ended in 1962 with the road to Rio!

I should have said, this stretch of dual carriageway is in the UK.

Another clue then. It was one of the first sections of proper dual carriageway built in this country and it's south of the Thames.

That's the one. The majority of it has since been completely eradicated from the landscape after the M3 was completed through Twyford Down. It was removed and the area landscaped, it's not often you see a dual carriageway disappear...

It can't be as simple as symmetrical flags surely? Probably not, as the UK flag isn't actually symmetrical (although it does have rotational symmetry...)

Every flag is symmetrical along at least one axis.

Or they can all very easily be flown back to front or upside down without being obviously wrong.
