I would respectfully suggest that you really give Conan-Doyle a good read. Jeremy Brett was by far the best Holmes, he caught Holmes' idiosyncrasies and mercurial moods perfectly.
Time for another total guess then.... the only two involving Kings that I can think of are The King and I or The Lion King and I have seen neither. The latter is the more popular, so my entry is:
The Lion King.
Is this anything to do with Eric Clapton ?
Edward VII? The only musicals I can think of set in that era are My Fair Lady or Mary Poppins.
At a guess Henry Higgins. 20th May 1910 is significant as The funeral of the very popular Edward VII took place and George V became King.
Alfred P Dolittle?
Three days have passed with no question being set so I'm going to step in with:
Who was the first track and field athlete to win the gold medal in the same individual event at four consecutive Olympics.
Can I have a guess at Carl Lewis? Not sure he was the first.
You are most welcome to venture such a guess but it was not he.
Was he one of them out of interest?
Was it Al Oerter? I seem to recall he was a discus thrower
Thank you...
