No-one on the BBC is realising that the higher Conservative results are because UKIP has almost disappeared since 2015.

They are picking it up on Channel 4.

Interesting to see how this translates across the county

Agreed it's not really a surprise that former voters have gone back to blue.

Fifth result.

Swindon North

Green: 825
Labour: 21,096
UKIP: 1,564
Conservatives: 29,000

Nervy for May, but a Conservative win.

LABOUR UP 11%.
Tory up 3%.

It's all still on.

Not bad at all for Labour, there (Newcastle East). Nor Swindon North, it seems.

Not so good for the Tories.

Not such a big kipper vote from 2015 therefore move is away from the Tories. In Newcastle East they should be weighing Labour votes not counting them. However the Tory vote is stronger than I suspected it would be but seems just about on line with the exit poll

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
How correctively reflective percentage wise was the exit poll in the first two declared safe Labour constituencies in terms of correctness compared with actual statistics.

I see that Sterling lost two cents against the Dollar when that exit poll was announced.

It's starting to look like Wrexham and Clwyd South might not swing to the Tories after all.

Definitely don't go to bed yet.

Pound has been falling against the dollar and the euro.

Some of those losses has been scaled back to around 1%, so nothing (obviously) like Brexit.

Washington & Sunderland West and Slough likely up next.

Jeremy Vine is at virtual Downing Street. No, this isn't some kind of bizarre, politics-infused acid trip you've had while watching Eggheads. This is actually happening.

UKIP are trending on twitter. Looks like a long time for them.

Washington & Sunderland West

Labour hold with majority of 12,940.

THIRD time BBC have missed that the swing they report on is driven by the collapse of the Kipper vote. They need to just report the wins in these safe Labour seats and not look at the detail until "battle ground seats" start to pitch up

Doesn't he do virtual videos for every election?

So far, on my 'General Election Bingo Cards', I've ticked off Big Ben bonging, Michael Fallon, surprising exit poll, Sunderland battle with Newcastle, CGI Downing Street, John Curtice and swingometers. Still got a long way to go.

Newcastle-upon-Tyne North

Labour hold with a majority of 10,349

EDIT: Andrew Marr is another one, I think...hang on, he was also on earlier.

Where are you getting your results from?

Kettering

Conservative hold with a majority of 10,562.

2.6 swing to Labour.

Ben Gummer looks like he will lose Ipswich to Labour. That is a big one considering he's responsible for the Tory manifesto, never mind family links...

Also, Rudd alert. Talk of a recount in Hastings and Rye...

Is BB actually bonging just now? I know the old boy and in fact the entire Elizabeth tower are under refurbishment just now.

Labour and Lib Dems both seemingly refusing to agree to a coalition with anyone.

So if the exit poll is largely correct, it is going to take a while to get anything sorted.
