Does anyone know please if 99006+99007 were definitely both on 0Z22 Peterborough - Old Dalby yesterday? If they were, does anyone know which 99 was leading and has anyone seen any photos or videos of this working?

EDIT: And yes @Tobytrain10 as far as I know 4D30 yesterday was the first time 3 99's were on a train with wagons.

99010 (MBEL) is about to be delivered into the UK. Shipment from Spain is via the general cargo ship EMS Cape which is en route to Avonmouth Dock from Santander with 99010 on board. Shipping forecast has is listed as due to dock at Avonmouth around 6am tomorrow morning.

Ship quoted on WNXX as bringing 99010 to the UK "EMS Cape" is indeed heading for Avonmouth but still a way out. It is only 88 metres long per the Internet. Might be wrong but looks a bit tiddly for such a delivery.
Also, it the RTT entry is correct for collection tomorrow, it would be a bit tight to put it mildly to get it unloaded and ready.
The post earlier suggested it was already at port.

I try my best to be as detailed and as accurate with my posts in this thread in the hopes they're of interest, even when they go unanswered and without thanks. So, here's what I know, what I believe, or what I don't know. I'll go in numerical order.

99004 or 99005 - I believe had some kind of issue yesterday as 4D32/4H33 and other subsequent runs were cancelled according to RTT due to "a problem with the traction equipment". Today there was an 0Z78 Peterborough - Leicester that RTT suggests was 99002+99005, but I haven't seen anything to confirm this. If this is true and if 99002 led, then I think it's more likely it was 99005 that had the issue.

99006 and 99007 - I still haven't seen anything other than RTT and 2 sightings on Trainlogger to confirm that they're at Old Dalby or which 99 led 0Z22 Peterborough - Old Dalby on Monday. I also haven't seen anything that explains why they're at Old Dalby/what the testing is for. If anyone can please help with any of this that would be appreciated.

99010 - Vessel is likely EMS Cape but not confirmed, but it's 100% confirmed on the way to the UK. I have been told by a friend Tuesday 16th June 2026 is the day currently scheduled for 99010 to be collected and moved to Leicester by rail.

EMS Cape docked at Avonmouth at 14:20 yesterday. A bit strange that they’ve reverted to Avonmouth as I believe the logistics for unloading are a bit more complicated - Portbury deliveries come on road trailers.

I wish they’d kept the footpath on the North side of the Avonmouth Bridge when the road was widened, it gave a good view over both dock sites.

Does anyone know please if 99006+99007 were definitely both on 0Z22 Peterborough - Old Dalby yesterday? [08/06/26] If they were, does anyone know which 99 was leading and has anyone seen any photos or videos of this working?

Both locos are showing on TOPS at Old Dalby having arrived on this 0Z22 last Monday, but I don't know which way round they were and can't find any video or photos of this move.

Today [12/06/26] there was an 0Z78 Peterborough - Leicester that RTT suggests was 99002+99005, but I haven't seen anything to confirm this.

Both 99002 + 99005 shown on TOPS at Leicester having arrived on 0Z78 on 12th June (again I'm not sure which way round they were).

Also at Leicester, 99008 is currently consisted to 0Z98 12:45 Leicester Depot - Humberstone Road.

Could this loco eradicate the class 73’s and reduce the swapping of loco’s on the Highland Sleepers?

If top and tail both sleepers then would save issues at Carstairs and also Edinburgh. Shunts from Euston would be easier aswell.

If did that then one could go round the sub and then head to Inverness or Fort William and then only need 1 loco to join.

That would probably be a massive cost saving

Shunters and movements into and out of craigentinny

The amount of driver requirements for shunt moves alongside the actual shunters is crazy

Whilst also considerably most of the delays occur due to the time and complex split and connections so will save delay costs
