Hmmm. Any Idea What ICP Glasgow 2026 Is? Couldn't find anything on a quick google search99005 is today working an ICP Glasgow 2026 (that’s what it says on the headboard!) special, with 37403 on the rear for ETS.

Im informed ICP is the UK's largest renewable and low carbon energy event, in Glasgow 13-14 MayHmmm. Any Idea What ICP Glasgow 2026 Is? Couldn't find anything on a quick google search
Thank you.Im informed ICP is the UK's largest renewable and low carbon energy event, in Glasgow 13-14 May
Could make a 37 sustainable, run it on HVO. If comparing emissions then a different thing altogether, assume 99s have to be stage V compliant?Thank you.
Funny that it is a modern loco that is actually decently sustainable and then just a 37Spitting out fumes like nothing else!
I don't think that is quite correct.Im informed ICP is the UK's largest renewable and low carbon energy event, in Glasgow 13-14 May
Out of curiosity, what isn’t correct?I don't think that is quite correct.
You posted (with my emphasis added) that "Im informed ICP is the UK's largest renewable and low carbon energy event, in Glasgow 13-14 May"Out of curiosity, what isn’t correct?
Ok thanks for the clarification. You posted (with my emphasis added) that "Im informed ICP is the UK's largest renewable and low carbon energy event, in Glasgow 13-14 May"
ICP isn't the event. They are an exhibitor at a renewable and low carbon energy event. That event is called "All-Energy"
That is very true.Could make a 37 sustainable, run it on HVO. If comparing emissions then a different thing altogether, assume 99s have to be stage V compliant?
Yes, 99s are stage V compliant (and AFAIK can run on HVO).Could make a 37 sustainable, run it on HVO. If comparing emissions then a different thing altogether, assume 99s have to be stage V compliant?
Any news on this, i see nothing on RTT so maybe it is not happening. It’s been said that they’re due to leave for Leicester on Wednesday.
Here you go:The paths tend to get added quite close to when the train runs, so not that unusual for them not to be up yet.
Running on HVO doesn't equal sustainable, there is virtually the same quantity of CO2 coming out of the exhaust. The proponent sustainability argument rests on HVO being made from waste products resulting in a carbon accounting assumption* (from 17 years ago) of 100% for the inputs less processing and distribution carbon costs so a claimed net 90+% carbon saving.Could make a 37 sustainable, run it on HVO. 99001 + 99003. Front loco pan up.99001 T&T with 99??? worked 4Z38 08.39 P’Boro-Doncaster Down Decoy along the ECML this morning.
Thanks got a pic off the bridge but no chance of an id for the rear loco.99001 + 99003. Front loco pan up.
Re Bo’ness workings, I was there on Saturday 16th so here’s a start for you.Post #1624 is now fully up to date. This shows, as far as I'm aware, all routes a Class 99 has travelled over as of 20:00 Sunday 17th May 2026.
It's taken a lot longer than I expected because, to be honest, I really struggled to understand it, especially in the Mossend area. But I think I've got it correct now. That being said, if anyone does think there are any errors or omissions, let me know.
New routes covered by 99005 on the ICP private railtour were, I believe, as follows...
5Z66 Bo'ness - Glasgow Queen St: Haymarket West Jn - Gorgie Jn, Niddrie West Jn - Portobello Jn via Brunstane, Polmont - Falkirk High, Falkirk High - Greenhill Upper Jn, Greenhill Upper Jn - Croy, Croy - Cowlairs East Jn, Cowlairs East Jn - Cowlairs South Jn and Cowlairs South Jn - Glasgow Queen St.
1Z66 Glasgow Queen St - Mossend Up Yard: Cowlairs South Jn - Springburn (via Sighthill West Jn), Springburn - Gartcosh Jn and Gartcosh Jn - Gartsherrie South Jn.
1Z67 Mossend Up Yard - Elderslie UPL: Mossend North Jn - Mossend South Jn, Motherwell - Newton (via Airbles and Hamilton Central), the WCML Shawfield Jn - Larkfield Jn, Larkfield Jn - Terminus Jn, Terminus Jn - Shields Jn, Shields Jn - Paisley Gilmour St and Paisley Gilmour St - Elderslie UPL.
1Z68 Elderslie UPL - Glasgow Central: Shields Jn - Glasgow Central (via Glasgow Central Bridge Jn).
5Z67 Glasgow Central - Bo'ness: The WCML Glasgow Central - Larkfield Jn.
And there was one small section covered for the first time by 99005+99006 on the Bo'ness - Doncaster Roberts Road move. Doncaster - Doncaster Roberts Road via St James Jn.
My next tasks: Find out what 99 worked what working at Bo'ness and then get the details correct about the arrival of 99008 and 99009 at Portbury. Then note down every 99 working since the Bo'ness gala and finally find out if 99005+99006 have an onward move planned from Roberts Road. Not as easy or quick to do as it may sound!

It is sustainable as it can be made from scratch, so can be produced indefinitely, in theory; that's different to carbon neutral, which wasn't mentioned. Drifting off topic, though.Running on HVO doesn't equal sustainable, there is virtually the same quantity of CO2 coming out of the exhaust. The proponent sustainability argument rests on HVO being made from waste products resulting in a carbon accounting assumption* (from 17 years ago) of 100% for the inputs less processing and distribution carbon costs so a claimed net 90+% carbon saving.
However there is also substantial fraud in the input classification as 1 drop of used cooking oil in tanker full of new palm oil resulting in the whole cargo being classified as waste and able to claim the accounting credit.
The Sustainable Aviation fuel (SAF) mandate makes allocation feedstock to aviation much more lucrative (with or without the current situation in the Gulf) hence HVO will probably quietly disappear from most rail and construction usage when existing contracts / hedging expire. (Several existing rail users have already stated this).
* This simplistic carbon accounting assumption will not last long term as it is incompatible with later net zero compatible accounting methodologies.
