I quite often think that I am,in fact,a lesbian trapped in a mans body.

I'm gay. Does this help the matter at all?
I did want to mention my own observation at the seemingly higher-than-average number of homosexual users on this forum, but I seem to recall that a similar observation made by another user a while ago caused quite a ruckous on the board - Hence why I refrained from mentioning it.I guess it takes the conversations back to the original topic.

) although - Much to my own personal preference - It doesn't show openly at all. Although I've come to accept what I am and be comfortable with what I am, to be honest I detest the notion/stereotype that homosexual people have to be visibly and openly gay. Maybe not in thy birth name...But I have seen somebody accessing this forum from I.P address 9.0.0.19 - Could there be a coincidence?I'm definately not called 90019![]()
As can be evidenced by my own recent posts, I'm another WCML user (Well, I'm bi in theory, but currently have a male partner!) although - Much to my own personal preference - It doesn't show openly at all. I must admit that I found thy declaration of the same to be a little unexpected...Although at the same time, I have a (Possibly inaccurate) pre-conception that homosexuality amongst the Asian community is rare.I have to say I'm really surprised your gay lol...
I'm more or less in full agreement with that statement. Although I don't have any problems in principle with people having "camp" and "gay" personalities if they are naturally that way inclined, I do object to the very blinkered impression of the whole gay community that the "stereotypical lot" have given the media. Furthermore, I strongly object to being "filed" under the same "fäggy gay" category just because I happen to have the same sexual orientation! As I said to someone on MSN a couple of days ago, it's unfortunate that it is almost always the ones who show the worst of the interest that get the publicity and create the stereotype, rather than those who keep it to themselves.
...a "bad" thing would be an understatement, by rites some muslims would want me stoned to death lol - not to mention the cultural baggage of being asian. unfortunately there is a lot of hostility to homosexuality from cultural and religious point of view, even those "who don't mind gay people" aren't exactly welcoming when person of their community comes out as gay. that said not all asian or muslim are like that and in some countries like turkey and lebanon it is quietly tolerated, long as its not publicly flaunted.I must admit that I found thy declaration of the same to be a little unexpected...Although at the same time, I have a (Possibly inaccurate) pre-conception that homosexuality amongst the Asian community is rare.
Having said that though, isn't that because a lot of Middle-Eastern religions place a very strong (And unfounded) emphesis on homosexuality being a "bad" thing? :?
Please please.....could this thread close???
I guess I'm of a passed generation where people kept their preferences and ideology relating to this subject to themselves.Um... why?
Please please.....could this thread close???
Um... why?
^^why is that then?
Aye...I'd be curious to know the reasoning behind TrainBrain185's request as well, as the topic of conversation - Though admittedly a bit "gay" (I'll get me coat! :roll:Any particular reason for wanting that? :?
Aye...I'd be curious to know the reasoning behind TrainBrain185's request as well, as the topic of conversation - Though admittedly a bit "gay" (I'll get me coat!) - Wasn't in any way one-sided or otherwise inappropriate, IMO...
TrainBrain185: Please clarify and explain above request and resons for making it.
Oh dear...Pipped to the time-stamp once again?Too slow![]()
In fact I'm prob more out in my Bisexual Dragdiva side then my railgeek sideI guess I'm of a passed generation where people kept their preferences and ideology relating to this subject to themselves.
I'm a straight guy but I would never want to create a thread called "Straight Rail Enthusiasts?" and discuss the good and bad with that scene. I am certainly not homophobic and some people I know are Gay and I have just as much respect for them as of the staight people I know.
Like I said, am older generation and maybe not keeping up wuth the times I guess.
Ive always thought trainspotting etc (and some other activities) are a kind of sex-substitute and naturally attract those who might find it difficult to form a "normal" relationship. Thus it is no surprise that the hobby has a high number of Gays just as it has a high number of socially or mentally challenged people. I dont have a problem with that, whatever consenting adults want to do without impinging on others lives is OK with me.
Great thread though, and fair-play to those of you who have crossed the threshold to the point where you feel secure in what you are.
Not Gay myself as far as I know...having 5 kids sometime makes me wish I had been![]()
Oh dear...Pipped to the time-stamp once again?hock:
Somebody really needs to do something about the dodgy old "clock" that comes with the Windows operating system...![]()
