I would never want to travel on a school service, commercial or not,find it very odd that you threatened to report the driver over it

Perhaps I've just been lucky but when I have used services largely used by school pupils the experience has been ok:

Shavington School, Cheshire - behaviour impeccable
Plockton - Kyle of Lochalsh - lively but perfectly acceptable
Liverpool area - irritated by the dropping of litter but not rowdy

Could a female bus driver refuse to carry someone that stalks her and always gets on her bus and sits near or at the front ?

I think if a female driver had concerns about someone in that instance she should request to drive other routes instead opposed to telling someone not to take her bus because I think you might be a crazy stalker type person.

If someone is felt to be "stalking" anyone, calling the Police would seem the appropriate thing to do.

I always thought the final say is down to the driver.

It is in a sense, but the company can certainly discipline them if there is a complaint about the refusal and it is felt that the refusal did not reflect Company policy.

What is odd about that? Clearly the driver wasn't doing his job properly.

I wouldn't particularly want to travel on a school service but people do and it's not for drivers to make their own 'rules'.

Yeah I do find the "bad" behaviour of school pupils to be exaggerated. Yeah they can be a bit lively, but I'm certain everyone was like that at their age .

Here in London I have used the 635 and 698 routes, which are designed to serve more than one school, and in the case of the 698, also using roads that no other route does. Depending on where you board, it is an express with hardly anyone on!
