Evening all,
ok, I'm off work Friday and am looking to either to take some railway related photos, visit a depot of some description or take a train ride, funds are limited and I'm based in Wigan, any suggestions?![]()
get yourself a GMPTE rail ranger ticket and have a couple of boundary visits as well as a couple of tram rides within the city limits - only £4.40 and you can do a lot with it
And I thought this thread was going to be about the Rebecca Black song![]()
It seems the members have a better taste in music than that rubbish!

Who ? What ?
Thank you one and all for your suggestions and sorry for any confusion concerning Rebecca Black, at the risk of getting an earbashing, who is Miss Black and what was this song she wrote?
Don't suppose anybody can suggest any locations near to me (Wigan) that I could view freight trains and/or locos?
Kindest regards in advance![]()
I wouldn't worry about it, it's really not worth the intrigue.Thank you one and all for your suggestions and sorry for any confusion concerning Rebecca Black, at the risk of getting an earbashing, who is Miss Black and what was this song she wrote?![]()
Exactly the response that that song should be met with!Who ? What ?

It's taken the desecration of the art of song writing to a whole new level! Even the prevalent trend for so called artists in certain musical genres to dote on their female dogs and gardening implements isn’t as cringeworthy as lyrics to the tone of “It’s Friday, tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday comes afterwards”. Deary me. :roll:Oh heck, i just looked that song up on youtube!!! This is going to be a hit because of how bad it is!!

Anyway, completely unrelated thread tangent in progress.

I've just subjected myself to *that* music video...
It's averaged over 1,000,000 views on day! It also has the highest ratio of Dislike to Like (roughly 8:1 in Dislike's favour) that I have ever seen.
I'm not going to reveal my most hated song ever, but my traditional No2 is Taylor Swift's You belong with Me. I think the No2 slot has a new owner!
She is also quite possibly the worst dancer I have ever seen. And how stuck-up do you have to be have to your name mentioned in the song? Oh wait... the Spice Girls did it in Wannabe. The difference being they actually became successful (as much as I don't like to admit it).

In all fairness, this really isnt the worst song around. To think we have had to put up with the Spice Girls, and now Justin Bieber. At least this song has something going for it. Mainly the fact its a really fun sounding catchy song. What do the Spice Girls or Justin Bieber have going for them? Absolutely nothing.
Yes this song is bad, but if the Spice girls have made millions from their rubbish, then this deserves to make millions.
so, after all your suggestions due to unforeseen circumstances I've had to stay home today, however maybe going to Crewe for a drive this evening, sooooo, could anybody suggest any good photo locations, primarily for freight locos and/or trains
