How many people have course for July 17th and have you received a contract yet?

Delighted to have recently been informed that I have passed my DMI. I am just waiting a medical and have been placed in the talent pool in which I was assured I would have a job waiting for me.

Has anyone heard of dates other than May and July? Seems as though both are full.

There’s courses until the end of the year. Aug and Oct I know there’s courses running.

We once heard that a colleague had a brain tumour, turns out he had been off for so long because he was waiting for a cataract operation. What you hear on this job is about 3% accurate at best so I wouldn't look too deeply into what anyone says

I know of someone who had a recent dmi for Birmingham which he passed and has been placed in the pool and told potentially next year. Doesn't mean there aren't any more courses but it does look like Birmingham have their quota booked in for courses for the time being.

Yeah I’ve heard similar. I’ve emailed their HR as I’ve had an offer from XC for a June course so seeing what the options are. I’ll let you guys know if I hear back

I am currently hold a enhanced pass for the assessments (within 5 years) for GTR. Does anyone know if this will be acceptable for Freightliner therefore not having to do any assessments for them during the recruitment process?

I was told at mine it would be a while. Literally a week later found out i was on the may course. Prepare you for the worse so anything before is a bonus!

I had all passed to advanced through TPE from last september. Just had to sit dfft and some online tests i hadnt done for TPE.

This is correct, the vacancies at Birmingham are being filled by those starting courses soon. Any others will have to wait until further vacancies arise.

Of course vacancies are other locations differ.

Thanks for the reply Lee. How did you go about letting them know about your assessment already at enhanced? Did you contact the OPC or Freightliner. I've done dfft so fingers crossed just a few online tests that I'd need to do.

OPC will check against your NI number and advise Freightliner. I completed mine 4 years ago and was offered the job after passing the DMI.

They do a check before you go with opc. They just told me what i needed to sit

Had it confirmed today from FL that further Birmingham depot courses are “highly unlikely” this year. Looks like that’s made my decision easier, shame really…

Yeah im for merehead, bit of a drive for the training but I like driving anyway and it’ll be worth it. I’m due to start training in July
