Aye, and a fair bit of the line out of Marylebone too. Funny how dramatic the turnaround of the services out of Marylebone and Fenchurch St has been since the 80s. There was a time not that long ago when both termini gave off the quite accurate sense of decades of neglect

Wow, the last regular scheduled passenger flights of the year (the standard summer saturday route to Jersey) are on the 25th of Sept, so opening it then isn't an entirely lost cause. Wonder if it'll pick up "parkway" passengers from some of the more remote marshland villages east of there

Chinese whispers suggest East Coast may have another extension to the temporary franchise. The DfT are thought to want to keep the route as is until after the Olympics to avoid any potential changes to service levels and provide them with a bit of a cash cow.
