Well, they can now have a frontline of N'Zogbia, Bent and Agbonlahor, plus Petrov and stuff. In my opinion, they underperformed for much of last season, given they also had Ashley Young and Stewart Downing.

Despite the "Sports Press" commentary to the effect that Steve McClaren had retreated to his North-East area to consider his future as Nottingham Forest manager after only 11 weeks at the helm, due to the "stated" lack of transfer monies made available to him to stengthen his squad, Steve McClaren today has issued a statement that states he is committed to leading Nottingham Forest to the Premiership.

If there was an appeal, it would have to be heard very quickly, to enable the other teams in that group to make their forward travelling arrangements to either Glasgow or to Sion, for that particular leg.

The latest news from Arsenal concerning their midfield player Jack Wilshere is that the ankle injury he sustained in the pre-season friendly in July against New York Red Bulls (said at the time to be only slight) is not healing as it should and it is said that it could be a further two months before he will be fit enough to play. More medical tests are due.
Just as they thought Arsenal's season couldn't get any worse!!!!
We're seventeenth in the league, we haven't won a single game, we've lost Fabregas and Nasri and to top it all of we're heading for a very long, painful season!

England could have done without that....stuck with Parker and barry now until Gerrard's fit or Capello decides to play Lampard again. Parker is ok sometimes, but i dont really see what Barry tries to do. He isn't a hard tackler like Parker, but he doesn't really attack dangerously like Lampard or Gerrard....he sort of sits around, passes the ball and does little else.
It's still early on in the season and, lets face it, results can't get any worse than last weekend! You've still got a good manager and quality players that will definitely push you back up the table, I'm sure you will finish in the Europa or even Champions League places.
Personally I would rather see a club like Arsenal win the leauge, they play attractive football, and have been a reasonably strong side since the end of WW1, and have helped football and the club in general by developing young players (Fabregas, Walcott etc,) to keep the club challenging for trophies. Whereas clubs like Manchester City and Chelsea have only become successful because of an increase of funds, not by hard work. I think there should be a "transfer cap" in the markets to stop clubs spending extortionate amounts of money.
It would be a mistake to get rid of Arsene Wenger, he has brought a huge amount of success to the club, and is looking to the future of the club by buying young players who have the potential to move onto great things.
Give Arsene a few more years and you will definitely be challenging for the title again.
I want Arsene to stay and believe you're right. I just hope we can return to our old ways of winning games and fighting the big boys, rather than scraping the barrel for the fourth champions league spot each and every season. We need to move our concentration away from signing youth players and start rebuilding our reputation, to attract the players who will help in winning the games today, not tommorow!
And if Manchester United win the title again, I will leave the country!
I don't think Arsenal should sack Arsene. He's done more for the club than any of its previous managers.
The problem are the fans who can't seem to accept that the club is going through a bad spot and want him out. They should be a little more realistic.

There is nothing new in the attitude of these Arsenal fans or the fans of any club going through a bad spell.. This has been the case for as long as football has been popular, at all levels of the game, including the national team.
The tabloid press like to denigrate the position of the England manager once something goes wrong...like not winning every game England play, irregardless of the opposition, knowing full well the fans will rise to the bait. I remember England losing to Sweden some years ago and a tabloid paper superimposed the face of the England manager on a root vegetable, then did a back-page banner headline.....
