Similar situation to you. I have countlessly uncles and cousins who are sunlun season tickets holders and they are over the moon to say the least. European football does not happen to Sunderland!

I was in Ripon earlier so bobbed into the bottle shop there and have bought her half a dozen European beers to celebrate with. However the latest ETA update was “we’re going to the pub” so they may not be needed

Was at the Sunderland game yesterday, atmosphere was electric, never thought I’d see us qualify for Europe. Not only that, we did the double over Newcastle and Chelsea and the only team we took no points from was Fulham…..not bad when most people thought we’d struggle and go straight down again.

On a sour note I saw Luke O’Nein handing his shirt to a young lad after the game, apparently some piece of garbage snatched it from him and ran off, managing to escape despite several people giving chase…..I hope he’s tracked down, absolute scum to do that to a child, we don’t need people like that in our club.

You'd have thought that the CCTV cameras at the Stadium of Light could now be perused to identify who this individual was.

Great set have fans. I mean one of the best. I had comps at Sunderland and had Steve Cram sitting behind. They knew we were West Ham and spoke to us throughout. Remembering walking on the pitch when the crowd emptied out to our small turnout behind the goal so im really pleased for you. All the best.

The season from Hell is finally over, zero away wins and a miserable eight goals scored and the home form not much better. Who knows what the future hold, one thing for certain is that the transfer dealings need to be a lot better than last summer’s fiasco to stand a chance of achieving anything. One positive of course, no more VAR.

I keep on hearing this time and time again. We won the world cup in 1966 which was 60 years ago and haven't won it since.
However England were world champions until 1970 when they were removed.
The "years of hurt" didn't start until 1970.
So this year is only 56 years of hurt.
It's really annoying

Congratulations to Crystal Palace who have won the Europa Conference League Final 1-0 against Rayo Vallecano. A fairly even match with few shots on target, but Palace edged it. They will now get to play Europa League next season.

Two down, one to go for an English clean sweep?

So that will be nine Premier League teams in Europe next season. Five in the Champions League, three in the Europa League and one in the Europa Conference.

One thing I'd forgotten was that Crystal Palace had actually qualified for the Europa League by winning the FA Cup. But due to the dual-ownership shenanigans they were demoted to the Conference League and Nottingham Forest moved up.

There's been loads of speculation about Elliot over recent days so if he is off to Carlisle that would make sense

Amen to that. He was an awful manager for us at Craven Cottage -- then he had the cheek to cite lack of ambition and bugger off up Shepherd's Bush Road to QPR!!

I would think Palace want their celebrations done before they start announcing a new manager. It's only right that they allow Glasner to take the credit and bask in the glory.
