That's right and my hammers were close but nowhere near consistent enough as they have hardly ever finished the season with a plus difference.
So you have the top 5 then spurs who were last relegated 78 a year before or after yanited.

I'd just happily go with a top 5.

Maybe have 5 relegated so clubs would have to fight harder to stay up instead.

So sad for the teams coming up as the only winners are the owners and players etc. All 3 that came up went straight back down and it could be close again.

Sad news. Not many still alive now from the 66 WC squad, and apart from Geoff Hurst I can think of only Terry Paine!

Take a bit of a tetchy game (but without a single nasty foul), add Borja Sainz who decided to spend most of his game rolling around on the ground, add a ref who lost the plot a bit, and hey presto 10 yellow cards and 1 red, all in the space of 31 minutes either side of half time

In the 23 league matches that Hyde have played this season, they have drawn as many as 10 of them. Once again they took the lead, but were unable to defend it.

They are still in top six, only because teams near to them have inconsistent results.

The standard of refeeing regularly draws comments, how about this one in todays game @ Fratton Park?
A Coventry player is flagged offside, when he's about 3 yards inside the Portsmouth half.
Where does the Pompey player take the free kick from?
A couple of yards inside the Coventry half!

Perverse as it sounds, that *can* be a correct decision. The current law is a bit different to how it used to be - the offence is made by the player being offside, which obviously has to be in the opponents' half of the pitch, but the free kick is awarded where the offside player becomes active, so in this case if the Coventry player was offside when the ball was played up to him, but had moved back into his own half to receive / challenge for the ball, then the ref got it right

In the old days the free kick would be given on the halfway line

A lot of refs tend to avoid the aggro by giving the free kick just inside the opponents' half - whether a free kick is a yard or two either side of the halfway line really doesn't have a material effect on the game

On the other hand, it’s just a ‘normal’ case of a player stealing a few yards at a free kick.

Middlesburough came from behind 3 times, in horrible wet conditions, to get a draw at Plymouth.

Ruiney should be congratulated on taking Plymouth to the bottom of the championship.

Is he stil doing a "Good Job"?

It seems very strange that the matter of possible strictures being imposed on Manchester City seemed to surface at the very time that club had a mysterious loss of form.

In any case, if you are uniting the two clubs, then the name is obvious.
