YES! Gave up my season ticket several years back, the atmosphere is brilliant.
My Dad got offered the chance to go and see Newcastle vs Manchester United a few years back.
He decided to go on a Cruise instead.

Though I am a loyal NUFC fan, I think I would have gone on the cruise aswell!![]()
A pity Newcastle couldn't get someone massively rich in! Yes, Mike Ashely's a billionaire, but we don't see much of it. I would also prefer an owner who doesn't sell our star player to Liverpool on the final day of the transfer window.![]()
Two U21 games on tonight, Czech Republic vs Ukraine at 5pm and Spain vs England at 7:45pm.
With any luck 5 Live (Sports Extra) will have both these games and I could do with some football after the end of the season.
Are you finding that Saturdays, in particular, have lost some special meaning suddenly
Saturday seems a really pointless day if you ask me. It goes like lightning. One minute you're thinking 'great, Saturday tomorrow' and the next minute it's 15:18 on Sunday afternoon.![]()
i couldnt afford the £1075.00 it cost to renew my season ticket.QUOTE]
You have to pay ridiculous prices for season tickets now, the reason why I stopped going.
This season is going to the first time since i was 18 that i will not have a season ticket at Arsenal! It is not because thay havent won anything for 7 years), it was because i couldnt afford the £1075.00 it cost to renew my season ticket. For the last couple of years i have managed to sell it on, however this despite loads of people saying they are interested and putting a message out on facebook i have had no takers.
It will mean that with still a waiting list of 40,000 the chance of me getting another one before i reach 70 is very low.
It will look like i have to follow them the same why Man utd fans follow their team.............. From a tv set when they are terrestrial television.
Was my "veiled" reference to the lack of a Saturday afternoon, when most of the football matches (besides those "hi-jacked" by cable and satellite TV) are available for the dedicated football supporters to watch, lost on some forum members?

My predictions for next season:
1. Chelsea will win the title
2. Manchester United will finish second
3. Arsenal will finish third
4. Manchester City will take 4th (thus qualifying for Europe)
5. Swansea will be relegated
6. QPR will be the best of the newly promoted teams
I noticed that you did not state as number (7) above, your prediction as how Baldock Town FC (which grew out of the demise in 2002 of Letchworth FC) will fare in the coming season of the Premier Division....of the Hertfordshire Senior County League.
I think that Alex McLeish has shown a lack of loyalty by resigning from Birmingham totally "out of the blue." I very much admire Roberto Martinez for sticking with Wigan, turning down the Aston Villa job.
Oh, I think Hughton should be given the Chelsea job, if they want a reasonably local boy, he's their man!!!I have my doubts!!!
Speaking of fuming there will be a revolt if McLeish comes to Villa. Yet since the media doesn't really care about football outside London or Manchester this is underplayed
I am absolutely disgusted tonight.
McLeish will divide this clubs fans from day one.
Some people say he's signed to Villa, some say he's still in talks over the contract.
Is he with them or not?
