Farsley reached an agreement to play at Bradford but the National League vetoed it as Horsfall, apparently, no longer met ground grading requirements (despite our recent 11 year membership of NLN).

Apparently it was to do with the number of press seats, a problem which was easily fixed. So the deal was reinstated and a couple of games were played and the deal was extended.

But the league then said no again as Bradford, rightly, refused to give Farsley's fixtures priority. You couldn't make it up.

Incidentally Bradford's other co-tenants, Albion Sports, who once shared at Farsley, went out of their way to switch matches to accommodate the Celts.

I strongly suspect that may be the chairman’s intention. Who owns Throstle Nest? Is it separate to the club? Why has no work taken place for weeks?

Yes, but there needs to be a degree of pragmatism as well, particularly once you're down to the semi-pro level.

Meanwhile, up in the big league, PGMOL have suspended referee David Coote after a video emerged showing him saying how he "hates" Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp is "a c***". Social media is now obviously in overdrive, pointing out decisions that went against Liverpool when Coote was the VAR

I strongly suspect that may be the chairman’s intention. Who owns Throstle Nest? Is it separate to the club? Why has no work taken place for weeks?

There has been a vast statement, saying very little, issued on facebook today. I cant link to it from this location. it offers no clues as to what the problems with the pitch are, why they were not spotted, when the pitch will be laid or when the first "home" game of the season will take place.

The current state of Throstle Nest is shown in this article from the Telegraph and Argus ( a daily paper for the Bradford area) The state is, erm, not good! I wonder if these were the pictures the owner was so unhappy about?
