or they are buying at the wrong time of the cycle! The problems with Manure predate INEOS though.Funny how these things happen.

True, but if you were in a managerial position and the media were full of stories over a period of years about how you were likely to get the push, would you be performing at your best? He's probably glad it's all over, and glad also about the £ millions of compensation he'll get.Nine league matches into this season was long enough to evaluate matters to see if any improvement was being made, but results have proved otherwise and the team in 14th place in the league
In the nine league matches played, won three, drawn two and lost four with a goal difference of minus three and European matches have only drawn all three played.
Really? You have never seen a team play to get a manager sacked? It happens all the time. It happened here.I can’t accept that any sportsperson would not play their best. That is the nature of sport. Sport is a competition not a hobby. You play to win whether you are amateur or professional.
the manager isn't the problem. Too many average players, too many bad characters and too many players not giving a stuff are. Manure have bought badly, sacked too many managers, have had no plan and have completely lost their way.True, but if you were in a managerial position and the media were full of stories over a period of years about how you were likely to get the push, would you be performing at your best?
Perhaps the recent board changes may be the start of a new era. They are a bang average mid table team. The sooner their fans and the media realise this and let someone rebuild the better. It will take years.
I didn’t say it doesn’t happen, I said I can’t believe a sportsperson doesn’t always play to win.Really? You have never seen a team play to get a manager sacked? It happens all the time. It happened here.
They are not ‘average’ players though, the results aren’t showing it but they are good players. ‘Not giving a stuff’ is probably the correct reason they are where they are in the league.….the manager isn't the problem. Too many average players, too many bad characters and too many players not giving a stuff are.
i am not sure - i think you are being charitable and assigning a professionalism that isn't always there. Players have got managers sacked. They know how to do that. I am sure the "secret footballer" has discussed this.I didn’t say it doesn’t happen, I said I can’t believe a sportsperson doesn’t always play to win.
Many of them are average premier league players and many of them have an attitude that stinks. Whom amongst that side would get into a Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal team? Rashford ( if firing?)They are not ‘average’ players though, the results aren’t showing it but they are good players.
that and character. There are too many bad characters in that team.‘Not giving a stuff’ is probably the correct reason they are where they are in the league.
That is probably correct. It only takes one or two ‘bully’s to drag the rest down.….There are too many bad characters in that team.
Garnacho is young, skilful and is not averse to helping out in a defensive role when required. Many of them are average premier league players and many of them have an attitude that stinks. Whom amongst that side would get into a Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal team? Rashford ( if firing?)
Garnacho, Højlund, Mainoo, de Ligt, Martinez probably would. Many of them are average premier league players and many of them have an attitude that stinks. Whom amongst that side would get into a Man City, Liverpool or Arsenal team? Rashford ( if firing?)

only if they agree a plan of change, decide upon a style of play, set out a sensible/realistic transfer policy, appoint a sensible manager, give him time AND be honest with the fans about realistic expectations.Perhaps the recent board changes may be the start of a new era.
Exactly - A mini Ronaldo - and I put a lot of the problems at United at his door. he should never have been signed, should never have been indulged and should never have been allowed to sulk around like a child.I think the best example in that United team is Bruno Fernandes. He’s clearly a hugely talented footballer but he constantly moans if stuff isn’t going his way, throws his arms up in the air when a pass is misplaced, and often doesn’t track back as quickly as he should if they lose the ball. And he’s the captain!
Did my see my posting putting Garnacho's name forward?I repeat: how many of the Manure players get into the Liverpool, City or Arsenal team? 1? 2?

I did - he might be one of the 2 candidates. ( I am not sure mind!)Did my see my posting putting Garnacho's name forward?
Mainoo being the other one, presumably?I did - he might be one of the 2 candidates. ( I am not sure mind!)

They had to sell someone to be able to bring new signings in. McTominay was one of the players with some value in the market.McTominay might, he seems to be doing quite well now; Albeit not at Man Utd! Why on earth did they let him go?
FFP rules come into it. McTominay - as a player who was homegrown through the academy - represents 100% profit for FFP purposes. They had to sell someone to be able to bring new signings in. McTominay was one of the players with some value in the market.
I could easily look up the reason for what is going on at Farsley but others might be interested so what is happening? Guiseley and Bradford are local but Buxton is crazy and was Alfreton a simple fixture reversal? In proper football news this weekend Farsley will play Darlington ........................... at Buxton!
Farsley have yet to play a home game at home this season. They have played home games at Guiseley, Bradford Park Avenue and Alfreton
I believe they have played another fixture at Alfreton not involving the home team AND have played a reversed fixture thereI could easily look up the reason for what is going on at Farsley but others might be interested so what is happening? Club statement here: https://farsleyceltic.com/2024/10/club-statement-groundshare-with-buxton-fc/Are they having more financial issues that led to the original club going under at 20 years ago?
The official word is that the club have run into problems installing a new 3 g pitch. The interweb and the street word have many other rumours that one may choose from. I will say recent pictures show little progress with the pitch but i am sure it will all be sorted out asap.We are happy to confirm that following recent conversations with our friends at Buxton Football Club and The National League, that the two clubs have agreed to a groundshare at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium, for an initial period to December 2024.
This agreement will see us play our five scheduled home fixtures at the Tarmac Silverlands Stadium, up to and including their fixture with Brackley Town on Saturday 21st December 2024.
It is then expected we will return home to The Citadel to fulfill our remaining fixtures. However as per league requirements we have agreed that this deal can be extended up until the end of the 2024/2025 season.
They probably sold the wrong one, though
Darlington ironically are the team I’ve seen Boston play at the most different grounds. Feethams , Reynolds arena and the new place And another ground as well if memory serves me correct. In proper football news this weekend Farsley will play Darlington ........................... at Buxton!

Don't worry - we will find a way to give them some points.Definitely not a great time for Farsley, as they got hammered 6-0 at Scunthorpe tonight.
All under proper ground sharing arrangements though not tinpottery pitchlessness!Darlington ironically are the team I’ve seen Boston play at the most different grounds. Feethams , Reynolds arena and the new place And another ground as well if memory serves me correct.
