After the replays last night, we now know who both our clubs will face in the next round.
Darlington will play Scarborough Athletic and Hyde United will play Marine.

Our fanbase seems somewhat divided on this one. Warnock is a tough act to follow, and the move doesn't strike me as an "upgrade". Supposedly it's been done with a more "long term" focus than NW would have had, but anyone who's followed football for five minutes knows that "long term" managerial appointments are as rare as hen's teeth. Ultimately as fans we need to get behind DM, he has a decent record and was a bit unfortunate to be out of work in the first place. I certainly don't buy the reasons given by Sheffield Wednesday's chairman for DM's sacking (Supposedly DM wanted his pay tripled following promotion) given the ticket prices charged by that same chairman.

Manchester United have a narrow 1-0 win over Burnley to end a run of three defeats in all competitions.

Looks like you deserved all 3 points. When Carlton Morris hit the post he was very unlucky and he looked sharp all game.
No issues at all with the sending off, you can't kick out like that.
The penalty? well some days you get em some days you don't, I always think that over a season they even out.
Let's see how they get on @ Goodison next week.

A certain Mr Kane scored his first hat-trick yesterday for his new club in Germany.

There were two scorers between his first and second goal, and one between his second and third.
Because of this, his hat-trick is not recognised in Germany

There are some purists in England (not including myself, I hasten to add) who only recognise "perfect" hat-tricks. That being one goal scored with each foot and one with the head.
Not like the Germans to have arbitrary rules.

For the second day running Luton have gone up a place without playing.
Sheffield United were massacred 8-0 @ home by Newcastle meaning their goal difference plummeted.
Unusually the 8 goals were scored by 8 different players.

Is that spread of scorers around the team something of a modern record, or would it go back longer?
Of course the ability to make so many substitutions nowadays probably makes it more likely, and I suspect there was a time when players stuck to their theoretical positions on the pitch…

But as you say with the ridiculous number of subs allowed these days, it does make it more likely.

There were eight different scorers in Manchester United’s 9-0 win against Southampton, although one of them was an own goal.Liverpool had eight different scorers in a 9-0 victory over Crystal Palace in 1989.
