You obviously have a vivid imagination. The two clubs (Keith and Clyde) have never actually met in a league match, indeed there's just been two Scottish Cup pairings over the years, once in 2017 and again in 2021.

We're getting to the point now where there's a vague impression of who the "teams to watch" will be in the Championship. Leicester looked decent against us, Norwich looked better but largely because we were so poor that day... unfortunately it's looking like our new owner's reaction to that performance on social media has put Mr. Warnock's nose out of joint. Having won our last two games, rumours now abound that Wednesday night's home game will be Warnock's last. Supposedly all will be revealed at a presser on Monday.

Not sure that Preston will stick it out for the whole season, but they've surprised a few and there's always at least one surprise package in the Championship. Last season it was Luton, the season before was both Luton and Huddersfield, and the season before that was Barnsley. Not beyond the realms of possibility that one or both of Preston and Ipswich will still be at the business end in May.

To be honest though, the biggest surprise so far is Middlesbrough finding themselves at the wrong end of the table early on. I wonder if Michael Carrick has been "found out" by the more experienced coaches? How patient will Steve Gibson be?

I have to eat humble pie. Plenty of grumbles from the Mumbles as the wonderful pairing of Evans & Williams won 2 - 1.

Not entirely. If it were purely down to finances then Leeds United would also be in the top three in the Championship as they're a year-1 parachute team, and Luton would have never won promotion in the first place. The imbalance is a problem for sure, but if it were so decisive there'd be no point bothering with the football at all.

Considering the connection between Stoke City and Bet365 company I’m not convinced that having money behind you guarantees success.

Not at all surprised that Oldham Athletic have parted company with manager Unsworth as results this season have been very poor.

It is a pity that one of the founder member teams of the Premier League in England cannot now even hold their own in the National League.
