it is no different from performances in other tournaments (Scotland game anyone) so i don't think it is that much of surprise that England gave one of their usual dire performances! In the Euros we qualified from the group with 2 x 1-0 wins and a complete zzzzz fest of a 0-0 v the jocks.
In 2018 we were runners up in the group and the Tunisia game we won 2-1 was hardly a classic. England were poor in that game to and got lucky.
I think the point is that this is just normal England! The problem is i would have preferred the poor game to be a 0-0 against Wales as the Taffs will be well up for their cup final.
Without wanting to start an argument I think time has played tricks with your memory, in relation to the Tunisia game in Russia.
A last minute winner can appear fortunate but England played very well that night, creating numerous chances and Tunisia were lucky to still be within touching distance of us come the winner.
On a more general point I thought it was a decent game last night the US played well, above their level, we were ok defensively but the first 10/15 and the final 20 or so aside, poor from a creative point of view
It's a point gained and qualification is still in our hands.
Couple of changes for me on Tuesday, Foden would start in place of Saka and Grealish for Mount.
