Have the Villa had any firm offers for Grealish in the last few weeks?
Not that I'm aware of but I've not been following the transfer window too much.

Can Big Sam save Albion after their latest thrashing from Arsenal at The Hawthorns.
Can't believe they held City and Liverpool.
Who remembers The Baggies "Great Escape" a while ago now, was Bryan Robson the Manager ?
I wonder how Liverpool's plan of action described above fell by the wayside tonight, losing 1-0 away to Southampton.Currently all of the top 4 have won 9 games (though Leicester City have played a game more). I don't think it's that abnormal, no team is playing exceptionally so its coming down to that moment where letting a goal in drops points or nicking one at the death wins you one. Liverpool have thus far managed to be better at avoiding defeat so have gained points through draws compared to Manchester United, Leicester City, and Everton.
The bookies don’t think so. They are 1/5 to stay up. (Sheff U are 1/14, next closest is Fulham at Evs)
Trent Alexander Arnold the 22 year old wing back gave away the ball 38 times tonight for Liverpool. He got subbed off for Milner in the 77th minute and since he lost it 38 times he turned over possession for the full team once every 2 minutes. So now that means every minute there is a 50% chance of Trent losing the ball.
Surely you mean 5/1 and 14/1 against not 1/5 and 1/14 on?
Trent is slowly but surely being exposed as a defender who isn’t actually much good at defending. So far he’s got away with it to a degree because his pace can get him out of trouble (see also Hector Bellerin) and he plays for a team that keeps the ball and attacks a lot (see also Marcelo at Real Madrid). His undoubted attacking ability also helps paper over some of the cracks.
Andy Robertson is a much better player in my opinion

I agree with this, Robertson hasn't been amazing recently but he has certainly done a better job. At the minute, Allisson would give away the ball less from wing back than trent does.Trent is slowly but surely being exposed as a defender who isn’t actually much good at defending. OrTwo reasons, take your pick which you prefer:
1 - the media are too idle to check the pyramid structure and work out the right number
2 - the media realise it’s wrong but think their viewers are too thick to understand
It's not an upset for anyone who's been following Leeds United for more than 6 months.Crawley Town 3 ... Leeds United 0
A real cup upset in the spirit of the F A Cup.
"Liverpool Echo" newspaper reporting that Marine sold 31,000+ virtual tickets for this one.Spurs 5Marine 0 Spurs 5
I was expecting more goals (from Tottenham) but it was comedy football to brighten up a dull Sunday.
It was very kind of Marcelo Bielsa to take the edge off his old mate Carlos's defeat to lower-league opposition yesterday!Crawley Town 3 ... Leeds United 0

Not really a shock, Airdrie are awful and this is the second time City have beaten us 1:0 at home this season, we lost to them in the Betfred cup at the beginning of the season. Cove Rangers beat Alloa who are a league above them and have set up a Rangers vs Cove Rangers tie. The closest to a real shock was Championship side Dundee needing a 4th minute of injury time goal to level with Lowland League outfit Bonnyrigg Rose. Dundee went behind again in extra time before pulling it back to win 3:2Airdrionians 0 ... Edinburgh City 1
Cup shock result from Scotland, with the away team winning against a team from a higher division.
Some bloke called Jose Mourinho bought one apparently!"Liverpool Echo" newspaper reporting that Marine sold 31,000+ virtual tickets for this one.
Why does the media keep asserting that there are only 161 places between Tottenham and Marine?? Marine may have to climb 161 rungs on the ladder to catch Spurs, but many of those rungs are occupied by multiple clubs.
There are two step 2 leagues (NLN and NLS), each with 22 clubs and four step 3 leagues (NPL, SL-C, SL-S and IL-P) each with 22 clubs (although there are currently some gaps due to clubs folding). Thus there are 222 teams below Spurs in higher leagues than Marine (minus any gaps). Finally there are 7 step 4 leagues, including NPL-1NW in which Marine are in 6th place. So we can add another 7x5 = 35 teams giving us a total of 257 clubs between Marine and Spurs.
This is very true. I was watching the game and was gutted for Bonnyrigg when that equaliser went in.The closest to a real shock was Championship side Dundee needing a 4th minute of injury time goal to level with Lowland League outfit Bonnyrigg Rose. Maybe the days are gone of Scottish refs needing a two-footed knee-high tackle to give a free kick
Sounds like a PPG panic -Question: Should football be paused due to COVID19? We are seeing more and more league games being called off due to covid restrictions and breaches of covid rules by silly footballers and clubs.
At our, level National League North, the cancellations are mounting up and "the integrity of the league " is looking in doubt. Darlington are 19th in the league. We have played 10 games which is the least in the division. We have between 3 and 7 games in hand on all the other teams due to an FA cup run and our own covid shutdown. We are 1 point off the relegation zone and 9 off the playoffs.
Last week we were allowed to travel to Brackley (NLN remember!) to play a game.We are a semi pro club so consider we have no covid testing at our level, no training ground to secure and no easy isolation as our players have real jobs so the players and staff went from work to the bus for 4/5 hours, played and game then went home on the bus for 4/5 and back to work. How can that be sensible? To add to that we are away at Farsley tomorrow night and away at Weymouth in the FA trophy on Saturday! This cant be sensible. I wont even discuss how bonkers it is that the club can bus a whole team 100's of miles to a game that i cant travel 12 miles to see!
This cant carry on.
No blood or bone showing: Play on but consider this a warning![]()
