A collapse in training apparently. How sad.
I wonder if the club had a defibrillator and a doctor at the training ground.
It's an expression, Rich.![]()
Me too. This is China after all and I don't know the professional setup there.
Are you sure? I thought it was a crucifix.
I concur. I wonder if this will make the likes of Diego Costa think twice before departing to China.
Chinese Super League clubs probably have better infrastructure than most Premier League clubs. Football-wise not so much.
Second tier clubs vary greatly, but then these are only small probability events so no need to make a meal out of it. It happens from time to time all over the world.
But if you are after one last gold rush before retiring, not a bad destination.
Of course we don't know the full details but after what happened to Fabrice Muamba I would be surprised if Chinese medical facilities are better than those in the Premier League.
Ilkeston FC of the Northern Premier League First Division South have been wound up by Liverpool High Court, relating to roughly £14500 of debt to an office supplies company.
Any ideas which clubs will be in the running to replace them?

That's outrageous when you consider the hundreds of million a lot of Premier League and former Premier League clubs (yes, I'm looking at you sunderland) are in debt.

Havn't they had long standing financial difficulties? £14,500 is a lot of pens!
They are a fairly new Phoenix club of a previously wound up outfit, 5 or so years at most,
Does anyone else feel that Chinese teams pay their players too much
The problem for Ilkeston was Forest and Notts County on one side and The Rams on the other. Very difficult to compete with those two for feet on terraces.
It's all relative to income, I bet sunderlands debt is a smaller percentage of revenue!
Gross debt is £137.3m, the 4th highest in the Premier League (only Man Utd, Arsenal and Spurs have higher).
