Old news and Anton Ferdinand hardly came out of it smelling of roses.
And who is 'we'? Has anybody suggested that you owe JT anything?
'Old news' doesn't make all those things OK.

I am one of these people who do not recognise Chelsea's "win" of the European Cup in 2012 (similar as I do not recognise Man Utd 1999 and Liverpool 2005) as they did not win the top flight division the previous season.
Contrast that with my team the once mighty but not so mighty nowadays Aston Villa, when they won it in 1982 by doing it the proper way i.e. winning the top flight division the previous season. None of this present day nonsense of finishing runners up, third, or fourth.
We're not all plastics by the way! A few fans spoiled the night for us then now we have stupid over policing. Don't judge all of our fans by a few morons!![]()

In the light of what's happened in Manchester is this really worth arguing about?
This is great.
John Terry gets a proper and deserved pasting, one of the easiest character assassinations in the football world. You try very vainly to defend "poor John". Then when it fails you say "but hey Chelsea were nice to that terminally sick boy remember" and now "hey guys look, a terror attack", like we are supposed to stop talking about poor misunderstood racist adulterer John Terry.
Desperate and sad.
After what I've seen in this mornings news I just can't get my mind around anything else at the moment, but feel free to carry on with your obsession about JT if you wish.
And he has had the decency to go without a "handout" unlike a lot of other high profile failures.![]()

his incompetence has cost them about £60M by getting relegated
I dare say the club struck a deal with them, his incompetence has cost them about £60M by getting relegated (that's what's estimated Newcastle United lost for being relegated last season) and there's the small matter that they're nearly £200M in debt
Sunderland look shattered as a club. Their meek and subservient relegation doesn't bode well for the future. The Championship is an incredibly tough league to get out of.
Rotherham found it pretty easy to get out of...![]()
Poor you, still got time to pop onto the thread to defend him though.
Stop defending JT; the other Chelsea fan upthread thought it was wiser for him not to. Terry is a racist, a cheat, and a vain, insulting thug and embodies none of the values of a professional sportsman. A large part of the negative publicity surrounding Chelsea is because Terry was there and he was Chelsea's figurehead player. Celebrate his footballing success if you will but don't try and defend John Terry's character because you will always fail at doing so, and in the process you risk condoning what he did.
Some of us care a lot about the integrity of the sport and are glad to see him go. There are many better role models at Chelsea than John Terry, the man who organised his own guard of honour.
Probably, given that Mr Terry was one of the people in a bar immediately after 9/11 drunkenly abusing Americans who were grieving their loss.

That was the thing with the Anton Ferdinand incident...it wasn't a one-off.

Ok I get it, you don't like JT. That's fine you're entitled to your opinion of him just as others are entitled to their opinion of you. Is there really any point in going over this ad nauseam?
Better hope JT doesn't end up at your club next season eh?
JT will not end up at my club next season, I think we can be totally sure of that. We aren't in the market for old centre halves with shot legs. Neither the club nor the fans would house him.
So what if he does? Doesn't mean I have to like it. My club have signed players in the past that I have thoroughly disliked, and I still dislike them.Better hope JT doesn't end up at your club next season eh?

The 9/11 incident has already been mentioned so I'm not quite sure why you needed to mention it again and of course it was more than 15 years ago.
The club dealt with the matter and in no way tried to excuse such appalling behavior.

My club signed Diouf.
Learned a lesson from that one. In fact since the Uruguayan cannibal left I don't think we have signed one objectionable human being.
Sam Allardyce has resigned as Crystal Palace manager five months after he joined the Premier League club.
Allardyce replaced Alan Pardew in December on a two-and-half year deal with the Eagles one point above the relegation zone.
But the 62-year-old, who had an ill-fated one-game spell as England boss, led the club to eight wins in 21 games to guide them to a 14th-place finish.
"I have no ambitions to take another job," Allardyce said in a statement.
"I want to be able to savour life while I am still relatively young, and when I am still relatively healthy enough to do all the things I want to do, like travel, spend more time with my family and grandchildren without the huge pressure that comes with being a football manager.
"This is the right time for me. I simply want to be able to enjoy all the things you cannot really enjoy with the 24/7 demands of managing any football club, let alone one in the Premier League."
And now Sam Allardyce has resigned as Crystal Palace manager, didn't expect that one.

I wish him all the best, despite everything. He seems really sincere.
Sunderland have been clinging on for years now. The last time they finished in the top half of the Premier League table was 2001, when they finished 7th. I don't think Moyes did a good job but he certainly didn't do a terrible one.
Like Villa before them, if you spend every year finishing 16th and 17th, eventually your luck is gonna run out.
I take it you would only accept promotion back to the Premier League by winning the Championship in order to maintain your consistency![]()
So much to learn.
