Obviously you didn't notice Halifax Town's unusual achievement last season. Won the F A Trophy and relegated relegated from the National League Premier.
York City could do the same this season.

Thanks! Up until 10 days ago I had reasonable hopes of catching one of the top two, but losing heavily to struggling Bristol City has rather dented that ambition. It's still mathematically possible though, so there's always hope... but in 28 years I've never seen us win automatic promotion even in the lower divisions- we always have to do it the hard way!

I went to see Halifax win the FA Trophy (and MOrpeth upset Hereford in the Vase) last season as I'm not a million miles away from Wembley. Booked my Wembley ticket again for the non league finals day this season but will probably only go if we survive.

Tonight, we've got Macclesfield away. A draw is the minimum. A loss and I think that's that.

Football fans have been questioning the resemblance of a statue of Cristiano Ronaldo unveiled on the Portuguese island of Madeira.
Many on social media say the work looks more like former Republic of Ireland captain Niall Quinn than Ronaldo.
The statue was revealed at a ceremony to name the island's airport after him.

It's been the same for my team - Plymouth Argyle! In the lower leagues for many years with a few good years in between. A short stint in the Championship around 10 years ago but downhill since then.

Things are turning around slowly and hopefully better things to come next season.

Our away record is good as I have seen several times including on Sunday when we won against Doncaster who were unbeaten at home in the league for a year.

A work colleague of mine is Terriers fan and goes to a few games so you have some supporters in Cornwall.

The home record is not so good with Accrington to come on Saturday who are unbeaten in their last 11 games, including beating play off hopefuls Cambridge on Tuesday.

Darlo slip to 7th in Conference North after a poor 3-3- draw at Gainsborough. We were leading 1-0 slipped to 1-3 down before salvaging a point with an eqauliser in the 6 the minute of injury time after a Dave Syers brace.

However with 7th to 3rd covered by there points and having a game in hand (Bradford PA this week) we have a good chance of getting back into the play off places.

Darlington beat Bradford Park Avenue 1-0 with the winning goal coming in the 80th minute.

I discussed Adams tactics with someone the other day. Adams unlike Sheridan before him does at times change formations prior to and during games to try and influence the result.

It does sometimes make a difference as it did in the second half at Field Mill (Mansfield) where Argyle were much better after the break.

He is however a very cautious manager and does not take too many risks. Unlike Fergie Junior and his side who play very attacking football which works for them. On Sunday for example with around 10 minutes to go, trailing to a Sonny Bradley goal he had 4 strikers on the pitch!

Can't see Adams doing that although we are a lot better defensively in the second half of the season.

I just hope we don't do what we usually do after a good away performance and play badly on Saturday against Accrington.

The only consolations were the excellent beer in Darlington and doing the NRM miniature railway and the two curves connecting the ECML to Selby on the indirect way home to Ellesmere Port the next day.

Happy memories of Darlington vs Bradford in division 4 including a 45-yard goal from Graham Carr (Alan Carr's father) in 1969 for a rare away point, talking to legendary referee Maurice "Knees-up" Fussey outside Feethams in 1964 while waiting for the adults to get back to the coach from the pub followed by the usual mind-bogglingly boring stop at Motel b****y Leeming on the A1.

We don't want to go back to the Arena. Ever. Awful, horrible, soulless, terrible place. We are tenants of the rugby club but our money paid for the ground facilities ( clubhouse structure notwithstanding) It isnt fantastic but is all funded by fans money and grants so it is what we can afford.

I thought he was a decent solid, robust looking player when he was with us but he got an injury on his debut and spent a lot of the time out of the side recovering and then unable to break into a winning team. I'm just teasing, it does my head in as well. We're Bradford City, not Bradford (Park Avenue). Mark Lawn was right to say it (and I think we'd beaten Chelsea, though I'm sure you remember that...).

It's three down so we're not safe yet. We've still got to play Fylde (A), Kidderminster (A), Stockport (H) and Tamworth (H) so need to get something at Alfreton tomorrow and at home to FC United. And to make maters worse, Brooksby, who scored a hat trick at Telford, goes back to Harrogate next week.

I like Nowakowski. As you say a good lad who gives us much needed height when defending set pieces.

The first one is the most common pronunciation in both Bradford and the surrounding areas, though the "t" is often a glottal stop. Using a "udd" is rather brave though!

Elsewhere in the best bit of Glob's Own County, we have a tricky home game against Burton Albion tomorrow, as we try to resurrect our promotion push. Injuries are starting to take their toll with Jon Gorenc Stankoviç suffering a ruptured ACL on duty with Croatia U21s. We did have some good news on that front too though. Jonathan Hogg who was treated on the pitch for 17 minutes at Ashton Gate with a suspected broken neck seemed like a big loss for the season and beyond... but a later scan after swelling had reduced showed no break, and Hogg is now expected back within 10-14 days.

Southend 3-0 Oldham

Sound like Oldham were better team right up to 70th mins when Southend went down to 10 men, Oldham seen to just balls it up knowing they had extra player as Southend score two goals within three mins each other and then won penalty right end of match which they score from.

Port Vale and Swindon both won. Shrewsbury lost mean they drop into bottom 4 and Oldham now only two points clear of drop zone. Shrewsbury play on Tues night mean if they win Oldham will found themselves above drop zone but on level on points with Gillingham who will drop into bottom 4. I feel last two relegation places in League one which will go down to last day of season way thing have been going on.
