Obviously you didn't notice Halifax Town's unusual achievement last season. Won the F A Trophy and relegated relegated from the National League Premier.
York City could do the same this season.
Good luck to Huddersfield Town in the play offs, could be a "tasty" derby match versus Leeds coming up?
Hope I haven't put a kybosh on the rest of your season by saying that!
MASSIVE win for York City tonight. Still in the relegation zone but a game in hand. A last minute Torquay winner however makes it a hard job still
Football fans have been questioning the resemblance of a statue of Cristiano Ronaldo unveiled on the Portuguese island of Madeira.
Many on social media say the work looks more like former Republic of Ireland captain Niall Quinn than Ronaldo.
The statue was revealed at a ceremony to name the island's airport after him.
I did, and well played to them- I just couldn't resist a cheeky dig at our more rurally-minded neighbours!
Thanks! Up until 10 days ago I had reasonable hopes of catching one of the top two, but losing heavily to struggling Bristol City has rather dented that ambition. It's still mathematically possible though, so there's always hope... but in 28 years I've never seen us win automatic promotion even in the lower divisions- we always have to do it the hard way!
Darlo slip to 7th in Conference North after a poor 3-3- draw at Gainsborough. We were leading 1-0 slipped to 1-3 down before salvaging a point with an eqauliser in the 6 the minute of injury time after a Dave Syers brace.
However with 7th to 3rd covered by there points and having a game in hand (Bradford PA this week) we have a good chance of getting back into the play off places.
Darlington beat Bradford Park Avenue 1-0 with the winning goal coming in the 80th minute.
A very important win in what was a poor game means we move up to 5th (final play off place) but with 3 to 7 covered by 1 point it is very tight
Things will change again on Saturday as we travel to league leaders money bags fylde - I will take a point!
83G/84D, always good to see our local team, Plymouth argyle doing well. I'm unsure on derek Adams, doesn't seem to have more than plan A. If plan A doesn't work doesn't look like he knows what to do.
Honest question, who do fellow Conference Northerners dislike more - Fylde or Salford?
A statue of Niall Quinn has been unveiled at Madeira airport.
Unfortunately Niall Quinn was not available to reveal the statue, so Christiano Ronaldo did the unveiling instead.

I wonder if that statue will also dive to the left, dive to the right, fake injury or go off crying when things don't go right?![]()

Gutted to lose to you lot in the last 10 mins for the second time this season after one of our better performances (the goal coming after the ref played on despite a clear foul by Thompson - watch the video).
The only consolations were the excellent beer in Darlington and doing the NRM miniature railway and the two curves connecting the ECML to Selby on the indirect way home to Ellesmere Port the next day.
Twas annoying having to stand for the first time this season as there were no seats for away fans. At least the rain held off. Hope you get back to the George Reynolds Arena at some point. It must be annoying being surplanted by a third division rugby union club.
At college, I had a mate who played for a side called Lokomotiv Darlington. I wonder if they still exist?
There is nothing worse than lazy sections of the media and some people to young to know any better referring to that third division lot from Manningham by OUR name.
We have problems of our own making with names. Our new board has dropped the brackets which some have interpreted as giving up on the rights to be called simply "Bradford".
The Half Moon, Old Vic, Britannia and No 22 (plus your clubhouse).

I never realised that was still a thing with the Stans.
It isn't just us. One of your own Manningham directors got the dog on quite recently and said Bradford CITY had beaten somebody or other in the FA Cup and not Bradford. This prompted Martin Samuel to write an ill informed piece on it in the Daily Mail.
And the City Gent fanzine/website used to have a huge banner saying "We are not Bradford FC".
If you are old enough to remember, the letters BFC adorned the gables of Archibald Leitch's fine old stand at Park Avenue not BPA.
But to be honest we have more pressing problems at the moment looking at the league table

You wont go down as Stalybridge & Alty are well adrift. How is Adam Nowakowski doing for you guys? I thought he was a decent solid, robust looking player when he was with us but he got an injury on his debut and spent a lot of the time out of the side recovering and then unable to break into a winning team. Having talked to him ( something you can do at non league games) he seems like a decent lad.
Incidentally, which of the following four is correct?
