Sound like decent point from us special as Fane got sent off mean we were playing with 10 men for last half hour. Looking at stat at this game Oldham only had three shots in game compare to Oxford who had 23 so we could easily lost this match.

A first win since 22nd October for us, and not before time. Despite the efforts of a dirty and unsporting Brizzle side and what I'll assume was incompetence from the officials we managed to return to the top 6. I'd expected Bristol to give us a good game but they were rather poor, restricted to hoofing long balls up to Tammy Abraham. Also admired Lee Johnson for his work with Barnsley but he's gone down in my estimation after telling his players not to give the ball back after 2 of our players had received treatment.

Winchester City continued their run of good form as they made it back-to-back wins in the league. They dominated the game but fell behind to a breakaway goal against the run of play, before Craig Feeney equalised. The hosts were reduced to ten men just before the break for a late challenge, but retook the lead from a soft penalty on the hour. However, City hit back almost immediately, and took the lead with six minutes left when Joe Briggs pounced on a loose ball.

Galbraith could do with some good players around him but has yet to show why he deserves a starting place . Connolly has just come back from a injury but in those fee games hasn't picked up the good form he showed pretty injury

Surprised there has been no mention up to yet of the biggest story in football right now.
The abuse scandal that seems to be growing bigger by the day and may result in some far reaching changes to youth and academy football.
I get the feeling there's a lot more to come yet too. Not just with allegations but also how things were allowed to get so bad

agreed - i think people don't really know how to react or want to think about the level of abuse that seems to have gone on

It's difficult to really say anything meaningful. It's horrendously sad but also not a surprise, anywhere that gives people authority over and access to children is at significant risk of children then being sexually or emotionally abused.

Football coaches have huge power over children in their care, they can literally make or break a child's dreams, and it isn't a surprise that this power has attracted people who wish to abuse that power. But you see similar in other sports coaching too, a similar scandal hit the USA swimming team in 2014 and New South Wales tennis in 2010, so it really isn't peculiar to football.

I think football's particularly parochial nature has made it worse but there will be similar skeletons in the cupboards of other sports too.

I think sexual abuse is depressingly common in any area where people have access to children, the danger here (like with Saville) will be in hand-wringing about "a few bad apples" rather than understanding how to minimise the risks.

The first half was a pretty even contest. The mighty Rams took the lead courtesy of a Lord Bendtner own goal just after the half hour but Forest should have equalised just before half time.

The second half saw a much more dominant performance and in the end a very poor Forest team were lucky to only lose 3 nill. Pick of the goals was Tom Ince's fantastic effort on 55 minutes after a wonderful pass from Chris Baird.

Next up is an away trip to Loftus Road to see the Rams take on QPR. Hoping for a better away performance than last season when we were absolutely dreadful.

A hard-fought win and a first clean sheet since the home game against Derby in October. 2 wins on the trot with Nahki Wells scoring the winner in both. Norwich away on Friday will be tough though, we've a terrible record at Carrow Road and a terrible record on Sky!

Oldham scored three goals in final 20 mins to beat follow League one team Walsall in Boycott Cup aka Checkatrade Trophy and now play Mansfield in last 16.

Funny enough this was Oldham four won in eight Cup matches this season compare that to league where is only three wins in 20 matches.
