Ajax (Amsterdam) have sent 27 crates of beer to East Kilbride in Scotland to celebrate its 27 nonstop win.
Well, that consignment of alcohol may well have had something to do with the fact that on Saturday, 19th November, the run of victories by East Kilbride came to a end with a 1-0 Lowland League defeat by Spartans.
Day out yesterday to "watch" Macclesfield v Dover Athletic. Few beers in town, noticing the club tweeting a picture of a foggy pitch, whereas the view from the pub was clear!
So up to the ground and it was foggy - very. Even from the side of the pitch level with the penalty spot, couldn't see a thing at the other end. 1-0 down just after half time, the referee abandoned, then suspended the game.
Just after the fog had began to clear and it was at its clearest all game, the referee (A Coggins
) decided to abandon the game :roll:
So, a long, expensive day, 2 dud 390's, not much football, but an enjoyable day out.

Is it only me that finds Mourinho the most boring man in football. Sent off again today, I really have no interest in anything he says.

I went to Macclesfield Town v. Ashton United at Moss Rose last December. I arrived a few hours beforehand, had a few beers and walked to the Moss Rose all in relatively normal winter weather. The match starts, it hammers it down, the ball could literally not move on the turf and it was abandoned at half time. I got drenched walking back to the station too!

A poor result in many ways yesterday ( Sunday football ain't right 
) saw Darlo come from 2-0 down at home to draw v Marine of the Northern Premier League in the FA Trophy. We played poorly, missed a penalty and seemed out of sorts.
Replay tomorrow ( Tuesday) night on Merseyside.

This is going to sound odd. I like football because on selected match days Manchester United Football Ground Station (right next to the stadium) is open. I've been - it's quite nice to exit the station into the stadium and loop at some of the exhibits there (it's like a miniature museum).

Once again, our unique (apart from Norwich, and Bury!) ability to shoot ourselves in the feet reaches new heights... 70% possession, almost complete dominance but an apparent inability to convert chances into goals, coupled with falling for the same long-ball trick twice, sees us clinging on to 6th place. The denial of 2 clear penalties didn't help, but the way our luck is going we'd have only gone and missed them anyway. Hopefully this run of poor form won't last too long!

News from Liverpool is that the earliest that Coutinho will be able to play again is sometime early in the New Year.

Marine v Darlington postponed due to a frozen pitch - we try again a week today
It was far from our best performance, but Liverpool are into the last four of the League Cup, thanks to goals from Divock Origi and Ben Woodburn.

A ten man side Hull just beat Newcastle after a tough game where we threw everything including the kitchen sink at it, drew after extra time and ended up going to pens which we just won!

9 out of the 10 last penalty shoot outs we have lost now!
York had the perfect chance to break out of their winless run at home to Guiseley..... we drew 1-1 conceding yet another goal past the 85th minute mark. Only the 17 games without a win now which for a team within the top 3 budget wise is unacceptable. We should be signing big Jon Parkin today, a good defender and striker, we could could do with a few of him at the minute.
