That's a bit mean...they got further in the RWC than any of those countries.
Indeed, probably the highlight of the group stages which I think have otherwise been pretty dull.
The tournament starts properly with the knock out stages.
Agreed, a thoroughly deserved win.

It was pretty dramatic, though the first 70 minutes of the Hungary v Portugal game was pretty good, until both sides decided to settle for the draw. Cristiano wasn't happy about it and he was right, given Iceland's late winner. Croatia being a tougher opponent for the ultimate "one man team" than England would've been.

I see Oldham start 2016/17 season away to Millwall which is tough game to start with, happy to see our three local derby matches (Bolton, Bury & Rochdale) are all on Saturday's (hopefully Bolton to Preston line doesn't have engineering work in October) and in first round of League Cup we got Wigan at home which I hoping we can beat them and get Premiership team in R2.

Some rumours are point at former Preston and Stevenage manager Graeme Westley or former Walsall and Nottingham forest manager sean O'Driscoll both wouldn't be my choice but given players are back in training soon and we get very few players I give it to any of them two at this current moment.
Shame we couldn't agree backroom staff with Steve evans or he will be our manager now given already agree personal deal with him.

Thankfully, a goal for Portugal very near to the end of extra time, meant there was no need for penalties to decide the result of that match.
So cruel on Croatia, all the excitement was in the last few minutes of extra time, the rest of the game was eminently forgettable.

Yep but he cannot miss too many penalties. Then again if the laws of the games relating to dissent and unsporting conduct were enforced he'd be king of the early bath
