We can tell. But they still came out of the first half better than you did...

Did they buggery!

Wednesday went into the game full of a confidence they rarely showed on the pitch, their defence was lacking... Its surprising they did not lose by a greater amount

Currently 1-0 to Real Madrid against Atletico Madrid in the Champions league final, I'm predicting the final result will be either 2-1 or 3-2 to Real.

Just seen VTEC putting on an extra kings cross- hull service late this evening,
And loving the VTEC EMT banter on Twitter as well- are they both outsourced to the same company by any chance, with 2 mates in the same office manning it?

I do not believe so...

VTEC is based in both an office block by the river in York and that office building next to the station. EMT I think are based in Derby as I joked about something and they replied that they would watch out their window for me. The banter, I think, may have somewhat been caused by my jokes about VTEC should hand over all the spare tissues and napkins to EMT so the Wednesday fans can wipe the tears from their eyes

VTEC, EMT and Northern are the best tweeters out there - especially EMT... Any TOC who plays a two hour long game of I-Spy over twitter is awesome

Still predicting that? 1-1 with extra time looming !!!

Indeed, it was a pity that they had to resort to penalties.
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
So there we are then, Real Madrid have bagged another Champion's league. I was particularly impressed with Bale's penalty.

Poor Atletico Madrid, the better team by far ;)

Of course it would be Old Winker himself scoring the winning penalty :(

Especially as the winker had been fairly anonymous all game and Pepe was a disgrace, really gutted for Atletico.

Championship, maybe...

Are you daft or what, Scott? We just got out of there - we've no intention of going back down right away. Now that the Chairman appears to have agreed terms to sell the club to American investors, we're going to be in a much stronger position and, in a year or two, into Europe!

The Chairman, Steve Bruce implied in a post-match interview last night, may have a terminal illness as he told reporters that he was "desperately ill but fighting hard". Might have my disagreements with Mr Allam, but I hope he makes it

Oh well, we lost. Despite that, the atmosphere at Wembley was fantastic, proud to be an Owl. We got behind the team right from the first to the final minute, even if it wasn't one of our better performances. We could have played better, but we did have some good spells getting the ball forward, it's just a shame we couldn't make them count by scoring. I do think we had a good shout for a penalty right at the end of the game, but that's football, sometimes you get them and sometimes you don't.

If our defence was so poor, we wouldn't have finished 6th, never mind end up as runner-up in the play off final. It was an exceptional end to a great season for us considering we finished in 13th place last season (with 18 less points and a minus goal difference), and I have no doubts whatsoever that we can regroup and try again next season. We have a good squad with some really talented players, and with a few additions in the summer transfer squad, I think we'll be more than ready for another promotion challenge next season.

Nope. I don't think any team has any intention of going straight back down, just ask any NCFC fan. However it does happen. An American Investor? Let's hope they don't turn Hull, into another AVFC, Lerner style. Europe? Pipe dream..

But that is what your reply to me implied

Surely you are deluded to think that a team, can be promoted from the championship (ho hum, as champions..), to be written off a Christmas or two ago, as already relegated, to then, go on some sort of 'lucky' run, where surely they, as a whole, will implode, to then smash the PL in the end....I think that dream has already been written, and I'm pretty sure it didn't involve a tiger, but a crafty fox..

Whatever happens, at least we will not start next season with a former player presenting a BBC football show in his underpants

Well it at least looks like one South Yorkshire team will taste play-off glory this weekend...

Disclaimer - it was 3-1 when I set off to get my bus, if Millwall have recovered I will be shocked!
