I think we (Stockport) acted as a severe wake-up call for ailing ex-Championship clubs regarding how not to run a football club. Whilst a number might slip into League 1 at some point (Wolves, Leeds, Sheffield Wednesday etc) I doubt many would be left to sink as far as we have. Bolton now have a seemingly stable new ownership who have a plan (two things we never really had!), so I expect them to bounce back eventually. They might spend a couple of seasons in League 1, but they'll be back.

York City. About to be relegated into the National League again, my team have fallen quite far. We beat Man Utd in the 90s and used to play in the Championship. Not as bad as Stockport, but still a shadow of its former self.

Swindon. Used to be in the Premiership. Now in League 2.

Luton. Now in the Conference. Used to be a Premiership side.

Mind you, most of these are about bankruptcies - Portsmouth went very quickly from Premiership to League 2. Then there are Scarborough, Darlington, Chester City, and, most famously of all, Wimbledon. Bournemouth were nearly there too.

I wonder which team will go bankrupt next. Aston Villa will be fine - they'll be back - but I wouldn't like to be a QPR fan right now.

I think QPR and Blackburn are the next ones to keep an eye on. Tony Fernandes is the type of character to just decide to up and leave one day, whilst the Venky family are all bonkers, and are gradually destroying Blackburn. Wouldn't be surprised to see them in a relegation scrap next season.

I agree that Blackburn will be in a relegation dogfight next year, but I think that promotion to the Premier League is what will do for QPR.

A friend of mine supports QPR, and we've agreed that it could also stand for "Quality Players Relegated". Júlio César, Rio Ferdinand, Charlie Austin, Esteban Granero, Djibril Cissé, Yossi Benayoun, Andros Townsend, Loïc Remy, Fábio, Park Ji-Sung, Steven Caulker, Leroy Fer, Sandro, Eduardo Vargas, Jermaine Jenas, and Christopher Samba have all been relegated while at QPR.

We will go top of the league tonight with a win however as the pitch at Bishop is waterlogged we have moved the game to Spennymoor. Our 6th home ground since i started watching the club

Oldham Athletic were founder members of the Premiership and have also been members of all the other English senior leagues.

Shame that we stuck in third tier of English league for last 20 years (unless we get relegation to League two in May) and people forget that Oldham were first members of Premiership clubs.

I'm surprise no-one mention about Blackpool as five years ago they were in Premiership and looking alright now they on verge of heading into League two and almost all Blackpool fans hate owners, if they did drop down to League two I wouldn't be surprise if they fell into Non league not that long after given way things are at that club.

Well a 3-0- win v Skelmersdale this evening has put us top of the league by one point with 1 game in hand. It could be the same league next season as i think we need 7 points from. Although knowing Darlo we will now be docked 47 points for playing in the wrong shade of black and white shirts!

Getting relegated has been obvious since we kicked off at Wycombe in early August. Chairman Jason McGill has made some shocking managerial appointments over the time and his continued backing of "Sackie McNamara" into next season is one which has brought great frustration to the fans. He is somehow worse than Russ Wilcox......

Off the field you have continued delayment of the new out of town stadium. Not a popular move and the fact works have hardly started yet even though we were meant to be there for the 14/15 season. Will the club have a ground to play on in coming seasons?

Winchester City came within minutes of victory in the Hampshire Senior Cup Final at St Mary's. The Southern League side took the lead after half an hour and gave as good as they got for much of the game, having a clear penalty shout turned down on the hour mark. As the game went on, City began to tire, and Havant equalised with seven minutes remaining. Havant also had the ball in the net in stoppage time only for it to be ruled out for offside, but scored all five of their spot kicks while Jamie Barron missed City's first. However, results elsewhere in the league mean that a win on Saturday will secure a playoff spot.

Is there a reason why you don't play in Darlington at the White Elephant Enormodrome? I can't imagine Mowden Park do much with it?

We're up to third in League One now, eight points ahead of 7th placed Barnsley having played a game more. We've pretty much the worst goals for record in the division, but have the best defence. I'm hoping Burton (six points ahead) blow it but even with Nigel Clough in charge I don't think they will. The playoffs (hopefully!) will be interesting; we've a relatively good record (entered them three times, won them twice) but normally after a mad charge into the last spot on the last day of the season. I'm wary though. I don't want to ever refuse a promotion, but I think we'd be annihilated in the Championship, and that hasn't done Yeovil (among others) much good.

True, turns out the league table I just read hadn't been updated since yesterday. I knew they'd both won, didn't realise it had changed the positions

Walsall now a point ahead of us into third with a game in hand on everyone. Still think Burton will blow it- Nigel Clough is hopeless- but I'd expect Walsall to take the spot, being five points behind with a game in hand. As you say, Barnsley won their game in hand.

I think we'll be fine too ... 2 local derbys, 2 games against teams whose season is effectively over, then Bradford. We've looked a completely different team the last game and a half, and finally look up for a battle I'll continue betting on the worst case scenario for us until we're mathematically safe though.

Although put your money on Doncaster to end their losing streak on Tuesday, 'cos that's how we roll .....
