I looked at the English Premiership league table on completion of the Sunday fixtures and was amazed to see which side now occupies the fourth place in that league.
Highland League
Not many matches scheduled today owing the Scottish Cup involvement, but two notable results:-
Fort William 4...Lossiemouth 3....
Strathspey Thistle 2...Wick Academy 9
You will no doubt be pleased to hear that I shall be attending the following fixture in this League on Saturday.
Formartine United (groovy name) v Deveronvale
I think that North Lodge Park has a capacity around the 2,000 mark, so perhaps you will try to get one of the best places to watch the match.
Formartine United have had a very good start to the season and are in second place in the Highland League, only one point behind the league leaders, Brora Rangers.

I was amazed to see, or rather not see, how many of the top clubs they've played this season
....amazing really as I thought they were in top 4 back in November/December last year but it seen not....

Do they do first class areas with free booze then? Butts loves them![]()
Conference North
Hyde 3...Chorley 3
The points total for Hyde now go up to 6...![]()
I see Chorley had two players sent off and Hyde scored a penalty in the 90th mins to draw the match 3-3.
Also seems like a good point for Hyde too, especially as Chorley sit in 2nd place in the Conference North division.

Blackburn Rovers 0-1 Scunthorpe Unitedhock:
On the down side though, Dave Syers, who was 1 of the best midfielders in League 2 last season, has been ruled out for the rest of the season![]()
It was in the early part of this season when you made this posting, but I note that after a recent run of bad results, Scunthorpe United have now sacked their manager, Russ Wilcox, and his assistant, John Schofield/
I don't understand some times when a manager who has guided a team to promotion then gets sacked for a team not getting results in a higher and stronger league.
He surely hasn't gone from League 2 manager of the season to sackable in a few weeks.
Is the situation at Watford of having 4 managers in 37 days something of a record?
Probably, but Torquay did appoint then sack a manager on the same day once!
Leroy Rosenior lasted 10 minutes in 2007.
England are playing the worst team in world football with 4 defenders.
I'm sure we could play with 2 defenders have some more skilful players further forward.
Are San Marino worse than American Samoa?
