Lambert had a Norwich manager sacked before.
Lambert was manager of Colchester and beat Norwich 7-1 back in League One.
The only part of that story that wont happen here Is Lambert succeeding the sacked Norwich manager.

A mention for Crystal Palace who was condemned by many readers on this forum at the start of the season as certainties for relegation from the Premier League.
I watched them last week at Selhurst Park play Manchester United and they put up a spirited performance and were only beaten by a penalty and a Wayne Rooney (£300,000 per week) special.
Today they have a got a valuable point away to Swansea whilst most teams below them lost during the weekend.
Who is willing to say now they are certainties for relegation... (OK I Can still be proved wrong.?)

Cardiff, Fulham plus one other from anyone 10th to 18th place I cant call. I'm edging to Norwich based on their fixture list.
Norwich fans need to remember they were in League One 4 years ago when complaining about being in the lower end of the premier league.

Scunthorpe are generally playing pretty well. If we're up against a good team, we tend to grind a result out. Yes, we may have dropped a few points lately by drawing matches, but in fairness, we have had a few bad decisions go against us recently. Dodgy penalties for Fleetwood and Chesterfield, no penalty given when Sam Winnall was pole-axed against Bristol Rovers, and from what I've heard, there is a bit of dispute over Newport's first goal. As I haven't seen the highlights yet, I shall refrain from commenting.

Paddy Madden is settling in well, and starting to score a few goals, and looks to be forming a decent partnership with Winnall.

Could be interesting afternoon at Home Park on 15th March. Paddy Madden had his problems at Huish Park but was liked by the supporters if not the manager, a good player to have.

From another part of this forum, mention was made of the fact that the media always like to say that top level professional footballers are paid £xxx,xxx per week.

My question is why the media feel the need to say that these players are paid weekly, but never give an example of any who are actually paid on such a basis....or do they feel that their readership/audience could not possibly come to terms with any figure based upon monthly or above-length periods.

My take on the Norwich situation:

I believe that may well true. Looking at http://www.statto.com/football/teams it appears that the last 2 consecutive home league wins was at the start of the 2010/2011 season when they beat West Ham 3-0 then followed that with a 1-0 win over Everton. Villa have won two consecutive games in the league since then but not consecutive home games it seems.

In rugby you can expect up to a month for a first offence of violent conduct/stamping etc. , and if you have 'previous' anything up to six months out of the game.
