He only scored 1 of the goals against Leeds, and was actually one of our poorest players on the day. For me only 8/10 when the rest were 9/10 .


I would hope we put out a partial second team, ie play a few young reserves but still the backbone of the squad. You played very well in first leg, i see no reason to suggest you will get battered.

Looking forward to the game as stopping for a beer on way, and another new ground for me, up to 58 now, and a few more on way home if lightning strikes and we sneak it 11-10 on penalties

Still in a state of shock about Saturday, one of the finest wins in the clubs history and our biggest Yorkshire derby win in 100 years which was a 6-0 win over Bradford City in 1913.

Funnily enough the 6-0 came a day before the 22nd anniversary of Leeds biggest ever win at Hillsborough, 6-1 on 12th Jan 1992, before my time! Excellent win, now watch Macc go and dump us out the cup!

To be honest, I hope the Macc Town Scum carry on their cup run and end up with someone like Man City, so that I can watch them get demolished.

Bad news Walsall have just score against Oldham 1-0.

Sadly Macclesfield have lost 4-1 to Sheffield Wednesday, Kidderminster have push off shock and won 3-2 against Peterborough mean Kidderminster will play Sunderland in next round and Preston have beat Ipswich 3-2.

Oldham lose 1-0 to Walsall our first lost away from home since Brentford on 14th December so not that bad.

I wasn't actually talking about the Wednesday match :roll:. I was talking about the Altrincham v Stockport Sports game which ended up being postponed, as Alty had played twice v Stockport Sports (then known as Woodley Sports) and hammered them each time. So I was saying history suggests a home win :roll:


FYI - I did actually say Monday, it would typical if Macc went and beat us now that we'd done Leeds. I would not tempt fate on my own club, never have, never will, this is Wednesday were talking about, always the hard way. Had I used the 'history suggests' line I'd have written 'History suggests tonight could be a banana skin'.

It has taken me this long to recover from the news of this result...

Hyde have now obtained more points from the last two successive away matches, than from all the previous league matches put together. We now have seven points...will this be a lucky number ? Did our manager attend a performance of the Aladdin Christmas Pantomime and was granted a wish by the Genie of the Lamp ?

Back in the real world, our next home match is against Forest Green Rovers, who on their home ground in the very first match of this season, beat us 8-0..

Well, Oxford will be visiting West Yorkshire in the fourth round then. Hate to say it, but with all the positive signs coming out of Leeds Road at the moment it's really setting up for us to be on the wrong end of an upset! Especially as both our recently signed forwards have already appeared for their previous clubs in this season's FA Cup so will be cup-tied. Great to see one of those signings, Joe Lolley, sign off in style for Kidderminster by helping them beat Posh- who seem to be on the crest of an alarming slump!

I'm not going to argue that the team is better now than in 2008, but you could argue any team is worse than it used to be if you compared their good old players with their weaker current players.

Plymouth Argyle have today signed 22 year old defender Matt Parsons from Crystal Palace until the end of the season initially. He was keen to get regular football after not featuring regularly in the Palace team and having loan spells at Wycombe Wanderers and Barnet.

Former Argyle player and manager Carl Fletcher has joined up with one of his former clubs, AFC Bournemouth, as Youth Team coach / manager.
