DarloRich must be feeling good today after yesterday's result....

Burscough 0...Darlington 1883 7

I ma in deed - and i was unable to attend as i took my nephew to see Millwall V Boro as part of his Christmas box. He follows boro thanks to others work, but his first game was the FA trophy final victory for Darlo! I felt as it couldn't get any better he may as well go out on a high!

The result yesterday is fantastic but we are in the middle of a really good run. We have won the last 8 games and played some really good stuff. We sit in 4th place 5 points off the top.

We beat Warrington ( who are top) 4-0 a few weeks ago and their lead has fallen in that time from 11 points to 5. Patchy early season form has cost us but we now have a settled side and we are going well.

The title may be to far from here but we do have to play most of the top 7 at home including Curzon who i think are the favorites for the league. Momentum is a funny thing!

In yet another injury announcement from Manchester United, it appears that Fellaini will be out for a six-week period following surgery on his wrist.

There are those who have no liking for this player, both as supporters of that club or their decriers, will be very pleased by this absence.

Absolutely, not too concerned at the moment about that!

To be fair to the lad it's been tough from the team globally, and it's always harder to make a good impression in a time that's been performing poorly.

However i've said since day 1 that he isn't a 'United player', and i'm waiting (and hoping) to be proved wrong.

I think most people won't notice the difference unless Kagawa gets a game instead.

BTW Paul - Just Darlington - no matter what the suits at the FA want. We are, always have been and always will be Darlington Football Club. Amongst fans of the club the is an almost universal refusal to acknowledge the name change forced upon us by the jolly fine blazer wearing chaps at the FA.

A result that was not what either manager would have wanted points-wise.

I'm personally delighted. If Suarez can keep scoring and perhaps set up a few more for other players we may get a couple of points out of our next two games. Hell if we get anything out of our next two games I fancy Liverpool for a top four finish.

I just worry that Liverpool don't have the squad to go through a season. Arsenal probably don't either, bur wenger usually has a few capable kids up his sleeve. Chelsea and City have squads full of quality if required.

Is Jordan Henderson the most improved Premier League player this season? I've always thought that since the exit of Mascherano and Alonso Liverpool's midfield has been dominated far too much by an ageing (and in decline) Steven Gerrard. Coutinho, Henderson and Lucas are really starting to look the part.

We indeed don't have much strength in depth but we have 2 of the top 3 Premiership goal scorers, one of whom was banned at the start of the season, the other of whom is currently injured. The other member of that top 3 is out for 6 games I believe as in Aguero.I think Yaya Toure is joint third and has been available for the whole season.

The boxing day game will be tough but we are taking on Man City with a team and a player who have destroyed almost everyone put before them and a Man City without their leading goal scorer. Not saying we will win but I can't think of a better time to play them.

A : A set of darts has three points.

Something's going drastically wrong at Moss Lane. Alty are 5-0 up after 75 minutes. That isn't how it's supposed to go

And apparently Sinnott's using his subs!

Oldham draw 1-1 to Sheff Utd today which is good point for Latics special at Bramall Lane but Jose Baxter who left us at end of August scored equaliser for Blades (I think it his five goal now for Sheff Utd)

Hyde have now lose 20 in 21 matches after losing 3-0 to Macclesfield and Droylsden also lose again as they lost 1-0 to Trafford but aleast is only one goal they let in as last two matches they have let in 10 goals.

Rangers who won every game this season have draw 1-1 to Stranraer thanks to 93rd mins goal.

Millwall have sacked they manager Steve Lomas after losing 4-0 to Watford.

Half time in big game of day and Man City are winning 2-1 but should Liverpool had goal in which was offside before Liverpool took lead?

The disallowed goal he was a few feet onside, however if that one had counted I don't believe would have scored the goal that counted,

Paul, and other followers of Hyde's fortunes in the Skrill Conference Premier, you may find the following twitter account rather amusing.

There comes a time when you can appreciate the humour of the situation, having divested oneself of every other emotion that Hyde bring to their supporters.

Love the fact someone bother making Twitter account asking if Hyde won game yet, aleast Hyde are 4th in Skrill Conference premier twitter account so by end of January they could be top of that league if they still haven't won game this season.

The thing about Hyde fc is that whenever they do end up winning their first match of season, it could end up where Hyde go on amazing run of 12 wins in row, sad thing is it could be too little too late for that club.

Well it was about time it happened; the longer the tension carried on the more it was going to affect the players I reckon. Anyway, Mackay will find another job soon enough, and if I was a betting man I'd be putting a tenner on Cardiff to go down now...

The FA have said they will investigate the post-match comments made by the Liverpool manager, Brendan Rogers, that were made after the match against Manchester City, in case there has been a breach of rule E3 (1) that concerns implied bias by a match official.

Yeah mate, apparently he implied that the ref was biased because he was from Bolton which is in Greater Manchester. I know plenty of Liverpool fans from Bolton though. I think our manager was ill advised there.

He would have been fair enough saying the ref and linesman got a fair few decisions wrong, for both teams as well. I was sat in the away end right next to one of Man Citys stewards. He was a nice chap and we had a chat during the few quiet moments of the game and we were both agreed on that.

At the end of the day it was a very good game, the offside was wrong but you can't be sure he would have scored if the decision wasn't given. Also we had a few let offs with Skrtel pulling shirts in the penalty area.

Apart from the result which I was disappointed with after turning in a good performance the only other pain that day was getting back to Liverpool afterwards. :D

Lost somewhere within Bank-Monument tube station,
With Mackay's dismissal from Cardiff, that means over 25% of the 92 managers in the Football League this season have been sacked.

Also, Arsene Wenger has been (or will be shortly) manager of Arsenal longer than the other 19 Premiership managers COMBINED.

And people wonder why I think football in this country is an absolute joke nowadays, and why I only follow it from a distance...

I think MacKay is a good manager and have no doubt there will be no shortage of people who would want him, Could he be in the running for West Brom(another shocking dismissal if I remember right)...

Got to admit, I respect Malky for his stance through this, I think he has held his self up well, he could have just thought '**** it, I dont need this ****' and resigned but he stood his ground and i personally hope he hits Tan in the pocket, I would now also bet on cardiff going down
