Surely you guys didn't expect anything other than one of the most one-sided competitive intercontinental matches in history? Rather than this you should be cheering Tahiti on. Heck, they even scored against Nigeria!

Nah I knew it was coming and I am hoping Tahiti score. I'm more tongue in cheek

I expected more goals, I was expecting a Spanish Record Result...there record is currently 13-0, although it is probably a Confederations Tournament Record, and now equalled Tahitis biggest loss...

Just hit 10

One question, where in the blue hell is Tahiti?

In the Pacific I believe, they are raining Oceania champions, (Australia play in the Asian championships and qualifiers)
Tahiti beat Samoa 9-0 in the group stages of the last Oceania continent cup! Says it all. Tahiti are the top ranked Oceania confederation team I believe (could be NZ though)

They won the OFC Nations Cup in 2012

Beat New Caledonia in the Final

New Zealand finished 3rd beating the Solomon Islands in the 3rd/4th Place Play-Off

Tahiti are ranked 179th in the World

Poyet has been let go from Brighton tonight (whilst in the studio) and of course the BBC have forgotten all about the fact there is a actually a game on today on top of seeming not broadcasting the Tahiti game so instead it's boring, boring Spain or bugger all.

By "in the studio", do you mean he is part of the Confederations Cup team and found out whilst actually working? Either way, things are not well in Falmer at present, and my opinion of Brighton is diminishing. Not so long ago I had them down as a force of the future, but if this is how they repay the man who led them from League One bottom feeders to 4th in the Championship in four years...

Oh but Spain are the most beautiful thing on Earth. They have style, they pass with eternal grace, they will never give up, and the entertainment levels associated with their play is unprecented...

...no, wait, I made that up.

Mr Poyet was telling porkies, he knew he had been dimissed as manager on Friday but the club didn't release this information. Gus was photographed leaving Ashley Barnes' house mid morning today (23rd June) which he would not have been able to do unless already dismissed as he was suspended from being in contact with any of the players or fellow coaching staff excluding Tarrico and Oatway.

Poyet knew, he was trying to put the club across in bad light once again. Oscar Garcia (former Barcelona and Spain international - won the title with Maccabi Tel Aviv last season as manager) will be appointed on a two year contract.

Brighton & Hove Albion will continue with a generously rich chairman who conducts all his business behind closed doors keeping his and the clubs best intetests at heart.

Thanks for the times Gus but no one is bigger than the club.

Must admit that, as part of a team of traders for a major high street bookmaker who is responsible for compiling and trading these next manager markets, my heart sank when I read the news as I've had enough of them over the last few weeks to last me a lifetime; glad to see that an immediate appointment will be made and we don't need to bother. :D

So the club sacks a manager that has been suspended for a month while an investigation to takes place and, within 24 hours of the sacking, knows who the successor will be?

Not to mention that the club would have known the manager was sacked all day, but waited until he was on TV in the evening to release the press statement.

Says quite a bit about the club as well.

It seems quite positive light to the club in the fact they have followed suitable process in the dismissal. suspension whilst investigation to whether to sack. Tell me the last club who suspended a manager prior to investigation? They will of course been looking at replacements during the investigation as a back up should the worst come from investigation.
