Not for me, working as normal Friday and Monday. Employer looks for volunteers and we have a days holiday credited to us in lieu if we work. Would much rather have the holiday days when I want them.

Labour MP David Miliband has resigned from his role on the board of Sunderland FC because of new manager Paolo Di Canio's "past political statements".

The former UK foreign secretary was serving as the club's vice-chairman and as a non-executive director.

Mr Miliband wished the club "all success in the future. It is a great institution that does a huge amount for the North East".

(Spennymoor have done brilliantly in getting to the FA Vase final at Wembley where they will play Tunbridge Wells, who overcame fellow Northern League inmates Shildon in their semi. Spennymoor have won the northern league title for the last 3 years)

They didn't apply! They have a decent ground, a good team, a decent off pitch set up and decent finances. I think the Vase is of more interest to them than promotion. ( you go into the FA trophy after the Northern League which means BSP teams)

You also have issues with decent players leaving because of travel times and increased travel costs as the next league up, the Evo Stick Division 1 North is essentially a Lancashire/Manchester based league. The closest teams to the North East will be Garforth & Harrogate, the furthest being Prescott Cables over on Merseyside and Cammel Laird in Birkiehead!

I'm happy that we got point from that game but I would be more happy with 3 points, our goalkeeper gift them a goal but we were poor today and now we need to beat Carlisle on Saturday as we can't keep getting draws special this time of season.

League One table (16th to 24th)

Portsmouth are relegated to League Two and reason is that Football League will deduct 10 points from them before 27th April or they could kick them out of Football league but deduct 10 points would be best move, once is happens this would give Portsmouth 28 points and with only four games left, Portsmouth can only get 40 points mean they can't catch Oldham and Scunthorpe in table.

Just look at championship table and from Birmingham who are 10th in table to Peterborough who are 23rd in table could all still get relegated that how closes it is in Championship.

Cardiff now need only 11 points to guarantee promotion from their remaining 7 games, but Watford and Hull are playing each other, so wont need this many points unless Watford win. If Hull win they only need 8 points.

19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd are only seperated on goal difference, with only 1 of those places relegated.

Hyde have now taken 16 points from their last 6 league matches. It was always going to be a hard away match to a side such as Barrow who are desperate to avoid relegation.

Hyde have three home games (Braintree Town, Ebbsfleet United and Lincoln City) and one away game (Nuneaton Town) still to play.

So Warnock has gone, no surprise because we've been a disgrace this season and we are not safe in this division by any means.

This club is dead, it was soul destroying being there today. I really want Leeds to do well, it pains me to see this but we aren't even making progress in the Championship never mind the deluded pipe dream of making it back to the Premier League.

The LUFC messageboards are alight with comments about the Warnock situ etc and the speculation over the replacement but we shouldn't forget that a great game is taking place at Craven Cottage right now.

3-2 to Fulham on 58 minutes and no shortage of incident.

That is the unfortunate thing about playing in Northern Premier and Evo-stik when your based in North east, lots of traveling and it will also be harder for players to take time off work to travel down to Manchester/Liverpool area on a Tuesday night, but where they are at moment all they need is early finish then they can play in evening

Millwall v Wigan is far more promising as a Cup match. I will be happy with either; Wigan's traditional end-of-season form should see them have a real chance against either City or Chelsea while neither of those would fancy playing a "hard" team in front of their "hard" fans.

Thanks for that clarification. Of course, it would have been the Evo-Stik League 1 (North) to which Durham City FC were promoted. I think that towards the end of that season, they beat FC United of Manchester and Whitby Town to hopefully give some betterment to their record, but very unfortunately they suffered a six-points deduction penalty for fielding a suspended player, so they actually finished the season with 0 points.
