86 is a calendar is an impressive statistic, discounting real Madrid and barca the standard of la liga is poor.
I note that all four semi-finalists in last years Europa League were from La Liga.
Wasn't one of them Portuguese? The concept is still pretty much the same though - similar styles of play, similar player/League capabilities, similar passion, etc...
Those were the days, When i use to cheer a goal scored by Robin Van Persie that was assisted by Samir Nasri.
When they score now it is like my own personal nightmare.
Whilst i am not condoning coin throwing Rio Ferdinand as had this coming for years, he loves to antagonise fans of opposing teams. I seem to remember wanting to do it in 2005 when he decided he wanted to celebrate a Moan Utd goal in front of the North Bank and getting leery in the process.
Which might be the problem! Celebrations these days are carefully choreographed and planned beforehand, and are designed to inflame the more primitive emotions of the mob (sorry, fans). Why should there be any need for something more than a pat on the back and a quick trot back to restart positions? Oh Bobby Moore, where are you?...A football player doing his job and then celebrating like any other player does....
Absolutely disgraceful post.
Talking utter b@ll@cks.......
To me, it seems like you are trying to somehow defend the actions of those who throw missiles, even to the point of trying to fabricate some of what you have written to turn things around the other way. Give over.
Chelsea fan by any chance?
You did not read my first response on this matter when i said i am not condonning what took place. But why let facts get in the way of a good soundbite.
As for the insult of being a Clhelsea fan, i detest them as much as i do Utd and city.
United fan per chance living in Redcar, that would be right!

Blimey. An accurate throw of a 2p piece over that distance at that angle, with enough force to draw blood, from within a turbulent crowd would take some doing.... still within aim of the City fans on either side.

If Fulham win 2-1, I beat the all-time record for highest score; even one point would be enough to secure the second place.
Now that match is over, are you pleased with the actual result ?
the villa contingent should be having a good evening. 3-1 up away to norwich
I wonder if Sunderland had any other manager but Martin O'Neill they'd have been sacked by now.
O'Neill, one of the darlings of the media gets such an easy ride. To me, he is massively overrated, hugely overrated. He's an impact manager, he starts off well but once the going gets tough he's gone. An Villa he spewed money on rubbish like Reo-Coker and Curtis Davies whilst letting Gary Cahill go to Bolton for a packet of salted peanuts. Surely it's time for this guy to get out of the Premier League and find his level back at Wycombe.
This current Arsenal team are shocking, absolutely shocking in fact they are worse then shocking they are an embarrassment. Arsenal will be trophy less for years to come. They are very myopic and deserve everything thrown at them. Pity we don't have stocks anymore i would put the whole lot in one of them and allow 60,000 to throw there rotten tomatoes at them.
When the transfer window is open in January and with the embarrassment of the club losing to a Division 4 club fresh in the memory and with the inevitable exit at the first time of asking in the FA Cup at the Liberty and already out of running in the league, the question will have to be Who in there right mind would want to play with this outfit.
