Picking Kelly over Ferdinand is a disgrace and i agree with Ferdinand.
Kelly has played 2 minutes for England and its his first season with Liverpool yet he gets picked over Rio for football reasons.

Ferguson has already said that Rio can't play every four days. Hodgson has taken that advice on board.
Personally, I'd have picked James Tomkins (or even Ryan Shawcross).

But as midfielders , Carrick said he wouldn't go if he was going to be a stand-by player, which is a shame as he was a natural replacement for Barry.
Cole still has a lot to offer, but more than Walcott, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Young? Not so sure.

The irony is outstanding. Ferdinand, Lampard, Terry, Cole - they're all getting old and should be used sparingly if at all or at the most as a unifying factor for our kids.

He can only call up players from his squad of which Ferdinand is not one. Two friendlies and already people are slagging the manager off - it's hardly surprising nobody sticks around long. :roll:

Amongst the talk of Shinji Kagawa's proposed move from Germany to Manchester United, is talk of "work permit" regulations. If he has been allowed to play in Germany, do they have different regulations there with regard to this matter ?

I take it he is not an EU national - in which case our controls may be stricter than those of Germany.

Very kind of you but since the advent of The Premier League coupled with the introduction of "real foreigners" not just us and the Welsh and Irish to your league it has been downhill all the way

We last qualified for a major tournament LAST CENTURY

Seriously, investor people, does it really matter if they play in blue and not this red you are so bothered about? Still, if it guarantees the club said investment, to allow them to finally reach the Premier League, then do it. Just make sure I can buy a ticket to Cardiff vs Everton.

Just as a matter of sheer interest, noting the club's nickname and the line in the song by Vera Lynn......How near to Cardiff is the nearest breeding colony of Bluebirds ?

Personally speaking, I doubt Arsenal fans would like to see a change from red and white, or Liverpool from their red strip, so I can understand those Cardiff fans that are unhappy about chucking out many years of tradition.

If they do try and link themselves to the Red Dragon, this seems a feeble attempt to try and make themselves appear as the national club of Wales (like Glamorgan cricket), yet they are not even the premier club in Wales at the present time! (Though I will admit they have spent long epriods higher than the Swansea City, and the other clubs that used to be in the football league).

While I am 100% against the change, I will say one thing. Sunderland are called the Black Cats, yet play in red and white. But I do agree it will be very odd.

Success will sell shirts in foreign markets. Not changing the colour red.
You can bet Man City will have no problems selling their blue shirts in Asia.

IMO it was a clever move by our owners.
Announce the plans and let the initial protests and anger erupt. Then "listen" to the fans by announcing the plans are dropped for a year, while at the same time pushing out the message that the changes are important and investment is badly needed (in an attempt to scare fans into thinking we have no choice). And then finally re-announce the plans after fans seem more willing to accept the changes (because we have been told that there is little other option and that the owners may walk away otherwise).

If Cardiff fans are serious about protesting against this, then all they need to do is withhold custom. Not for match tickets, but everything else, Don't buy programmes, don't buy merchandise (especially replica shirts), don't buy food and drink in the ground.
The board will get the message soon enough.

People will still love there club regardless of cheap gimmicks, the owners have nothing to lose by doing this, if fans do boycott the club then they will simply walk away leaving Cardiff in big trouble, and even dare i say it back into Welsh football!!.
On the other hand if fans embrace it then who knows how big the club could become, you will upset a few people but i bet next season they will be sold out, and the ground will be a sea of red!!

Very pleased for him and I think he is a good manager for the club.

Birmingham City state that three of his backroom staff will also be going with him to Carrow Road and that a total compensation package has been agreed between the two clubs.
