At the end of the day Reina should not have even attempted to headbutt Perch and Liverpool have nothing to complain about.
From the clip just now on the news, it looked as if Reina simply nodded to emphasise what he was saying. No attempted head-butt, no contact - red card should be rescinded....
I've watched the replay ten times and can't see a touch. What I can see is Carroll dragging his feet into the ground which causes him to lose balance and go down.
...and Carroll tripped over his own feet - clumsy, but understandable that he fell. Not "simulation"

No 'fan' of Liverpool, but they're getting worse by the game...shame ;)
Would Kenny D. been sacked by now, if he wasn't such a 'Legend' there?

Some interesting results this weekend I thought.

Not at Elland Road though where normal service continued, another clueless, inept performance by Leeds going down 0-2 to Watford. It was actually worse than the Forest game in some ways because at least against Forest we looked like we tried to get back into the game. On Saturday Leeds showed no effort no anything. Pathetic, Warnock's got a massive job on his hands to turn this shower of poo around next season. How Leeds remain in the top half of the table is beyond, we are appalling, roll on next season.

Watched the Newcastle v Liverpool game in the pub yesterday. Andy Carroll started the game like a maniac, flying all over the pitch desperate to show he was worth £3.5 million. Not sure what he was doing with the dive, he could have easily got a shot on goal there, if that chance had fallen to Cisse at the other end of the pitch that would have been a sure goal.

I'm a Blackburn fan tonight.

Carroll 3.5 Million? try £35 million!! Perhaps there should be a poll for the biggest waste of money EVER, Torres or Carroll??

Perhaps he was being sarcastic with £3.5 million being Carroll's value - more like £350,000 I'd say :p

To answer your question we need to send them back to Liverpool and Newcastle respectively and see what happens !!

Torres wins comfortably in my book. At least Carroll shows occasional signs of effort. Not to mention he cost only 70% of Torres.

I'd rather of had Rafa back last january tbh.
so far dalglish has been a disappointment, his management style is about 20 years old of date

Speaking to a Liverpool fan earlier (My driving instructor :P ) who agreed with you. Daglish needs to get up to speed with premier league management.

As for torres v Carroll for biggest waste of money? Carroll for me everytime.

Class is permanant, form is temporary. I think Torres is a class player in poor form, wheras Carroll at Newcastle was an average player in excellent form.

I suppose the feeling at Manchester United will be..."if only we had not lost the reverse fixture against Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford, we would be in an even stronger position at the top, with so few games left to play"

The "Mario Balotelli" situation at Manchester City is not exactly fostering a happy dressing-room" at Eastlands, which is not what is needed at the time of the "final run-in".

Kenny has got a few legitimate complaints though ....

Liverpool should have had 2 penalties before Newcastle took the lead in the 19th minute. Carroll was hauled down by Williamson, and Simpson should have been sent off for deliberate handball.

Cisse was offside as well when he scored his second goal.

Perch could have been sent off (I have seen them given), but I think a yellow card was right.

Carroll did deserve his yellow card for diving though.

I can only agree. We got lucky, but I shouldn't complain as we're now 11 points clear of Liverpool!

Are Darlington going to be allowed to compete in the BSN next year when they get relegated or will they go straight through to the Evostick?

depends whether they meet the leagues entry requirements with regards to proof of finances etc

What do you mean WHEN they get relegated, they are 7 points from safety with a game in hand, though looking at there fixtures i dont hold much hope for them

Maidstone United play in Sittingbourne, and are in the Isthmian Division 1 South (that's three below the Conference National), and Scarborough Athletic play in Bridlington, and are in the Northern Counties East Premier Division (that's four below I think).

Both still exist as phoenix clubs, Maidstone are moving home next season I believe.

And don't shed a tear for the likes of Darlington, no-one does when run of the mill NL clubs are wiped out.

Some people, including myself do. It hurt to see Fisher go, among many others. As so many have said, no true football fan wishes to see any club go under. You come across as being quite bitter at times, tired of being stuck in non-league?
