I feel so, so sorry for Brentford. The cruelest that football can offer on display there this afternoon. What's even worse about the whole matter is that they now have to enter the play-offs, a complete and utter joke of a competition. The fact that, for example, a team that finished perhaps 20 points ahead of the team who are promoted instead of them is absolutely ridiculous. The top 3 (or 4, however many) teams should go up, and that's that. Mediocrity shouldn't be rewarded.

There's always next week! I can't see them not winning the play-offs to be honest, they are the best team there. What annoys me though is that they actually have to go through the process: I think play-offs are a complete joke (as I explained last night). Good luck anyway.

It would appear that, with only three games to go, a manager who has been widely praised, only just realises his team are in danger. Would I swap confirmed promotion with one game to spare for the title in the way Donny did it? No way, plus we will finish above Donny next season anyway. Flynn got a lucky break that is all. He didn't do a bad job, but relied on Trotta to miss that penalty to go up for sure.

Meanwhile Eddie can always win us the league winner's trophy next year - more delicious and far more prestigious. (Ah, well, I can dream.)

Well the way Arsenal are at the moment, I would give the whole team the red card, send the Manager to the stands and make the team play the remaining games behind closed doors.

Such was my interest in this game (if your referring to the game against Manchester United) I didn't even bother checking for a score until the game had ended. Then I found out that the club went ahead after two minutes (by a blatant offside goal well my Manchester United friends tell me), and that we conceded yet another penalty against Man U, scored by our former talisman (and I use that term very loosely).

Was it a penalty and who conceded it ? I think it was Sagna he has been woeful this season............... Oh wait a minute the whole team has been woeful.

Apart from the comments about Sagna, I think your being very harsh on the team as a whole. In the last 11 games (including today, and going from commentary from MOTD2), Arsenal have won 9 and drawn 2. Not bad for a 'poor' team. I just wish Scunthorpe United could play as poorly as that!

And yes, it was a penalty which Sagna conceded when he brought down van Persie, and yes, it was an offside goal, as Walcott was 1-2 yards past the last defender.
