Ok, now you've lost me. I thought that it was another anti- United rant, but on reading it again I'm not quite so sure.

Apologies if my comments were mis-directed, but the fact that some if this conspiracy lark (surrounding United) is just pure twaddle stands in my view.

In other news, my local club Hereford United are suffering a worsening financial condition. I was aware that there wasn't much money to go around, but when you've got a Chairman's statement on finances and sky reporting that they are unable to pay wages this month you get a really good indicator of how poor the situation has become. It would be quite superficial to say so, but it really does seem that things have just gone downhill from bad to worse - both on the pitch and off it - since Turner sold up and left for the managerial position at Shrewsbury.

I read the comment about Hereford United with interest and wonder if the unquiet there had permeated their players dressing room and affected the confidence of the players, as my "favoured" non-league side, Hyde, actually registered a 5-2 win against them....and we all know that Hyde are bottom of the Conference Premiership.

The matter of the Truro City FC 10 points deduction for entering in administration must have been the blow that Lee Hodges needed the least. Conference South needs a representation from the south part of Cornwall to keep its geographical spread realistic.

I wonder why the lunchtime sports newsflash said that Truro City had not made the deadline, which I then reported in good faith on this forum, even to the extent of using my previous quote from a few days ago as a comparison to how matters moved on. The report that I saw also gave confirmation that their next opponents had been notified of the matter.

I feel that I should make this a formal apology on the forum and wish Truro City all the best for the future.

I can't believe we got out of that game with a point. Becchio and Brown were lucky to stay on the pitch, Sheff Wed should have a penalty for the Becchio hand ball although just to slightly balance it a bit the Sheff Wed player in the Petr Cech head protection should also have seen red.

That said, terrible defending for the Sheff Wed goal with Peltier just standing there clueless but Tonge's goal was pure class.

Sadly, what happpened in the build up to Tonge's goal and after the goal was not good. Yes there was constant and sickening chanting from the Sheff Wed fans in reference to Turkey (they had about five different songs) and a turkey flag was displayed by them, some Leeds fans reacted by singing about Dave Jones in reference to his wrong accusal of being a Savile but by far the worst was the Leeds fan running on the pitch and pushing Kirkland over. Kirkland made a hell of a lot of it, he wasn't injured in the slightest but what happened there was an embarrasment to Leeds United. The bloke has already been named and positively indentified I believe so he'll be brought to justice. No doubt all Leeds will have to suffer because of that moron.

I think they were given yet another deadline after that when it emerged the 2 people who eventually put up the bond were interested.

There is obviously going to be a huge reaction to this. Lets us not forget that a couple of seasons ago the very same club Kirland plays for attacked Crystal Palace players and nothing was done......However, this guy should be banned for life. I just worry that because it's Leeds any type of punishment handed to the club will be hugely inflated.

Couldn't agree more. SWFC who is disgraced by his fans chanting and definitely the flag that is awful, your fans whos chanting wasn't too clever either. And some well... butt wipe. Kirkland did make a lot out of it, but i think he went down in shock, if you look in slow mo at the way his neck moved, he wasn't expecting it and it looked quite nasty actually. His neck wasn't braced at all it just bent backwards. Id of gone down in shock too. It was two handed too.

But all in all a cracking game was it not?

Due to Mr murtagh pulling out, apparently due to someone from the conference naming him in the media when there was a privacy agreement, the conference agreed to extend the deadline to 1700 to give the second bidders chance to lodge a bond. The 2 business men who have lodged the 50k bond are both well known local businessmen. One owns a car sales business and the biggest taxi firm in the city, and the other owns the most successful night club in Truro.

If you were actually informed about the situation mod and not just pusuing an anti Leeds vendetta then you would know that the lad in question was indentified within minutes by his own fans. The condemnation by Leeds fans has been huge and we are completley embarrassed about it. What went before with the Turkey chants/Dave Jones chants was bad but it does not excuse in the slightest what the idiot Leeds fan did. Maybe you should have checked the facts before you made stupid statements like that. I await an apology. "That Leeds lot don't learn" I go home and away, quite often with my old dad, sometimes my girlfriend also travels away and many of my friends and we have a great time and enjoy without any silliness. Give the guy responsible a Lifetime Ban, and then cart him off to the Courts, and give the club a fine in relation to failing to control their supporters. Any more this season, and points deductions and/or playing behind closed doors need to be considered; this template should be used for all notable incidents of this nature.

Very good victory for Latics today after the beat Leyton Orient 2-0 at Boundary Park and it also mean, Latics are unbeated in last 4 matches now and win 3 of 4 matches they played.

It was postponed around Monday or Tuesday due to the uncertainty,
It has been confirmed the game at Staines in mid week will now go ahead (as long as the players dont still leave the club over unpaid wages)

I'm sure a major punishment is on it's way and we can't argue with that, the only thing I worry about is that it will be inflated due to it being Leeds involved. It's hard to call what the punishment will be but i've already bought away tickets for the next couple of games so i'd be extremley annoyed (but understand) if they banned us. But we'll see.

I think Ivo must be referring to the town more than the team, as I've been to a Luton Town match before, and the worst thing about it was Kenilworth Road and Luton itself! The team / fans didn't seem that bad.
