I suspect Bernardo Silva will be getting more game time now

Bernardo gets loads of game time as it is, but usually on the flank (or even at left back, occasionally). But I think he and/or Foden will be playing more centrally for the next few months.

But, with Mahrez now gone and the bench looking a bit bare, a couple of wide forwards will be brought in before the window ends.

I think City have a bit of headroom to splash some cash...

Results this week:

Hereford 1 v Darlo 0 - played well gave a late penalty away.

Scunthorpe 4 v Darlo 0 - Played well but got rolled over by a full time pro side. While the score is flattering we didnt carry much threat against a good side. Apparently they are offering 4 times the wages Darlo are and it showed. Scunny will be top of the league this year.

Brackley and Alfreton next. could easily be played 5 lost 5.

Northern Premier Legue...Premier Division

Bamber Bridge 2 ... Hyde Unted 0

In the Tuesday night match, Hyde were still producing poor team cohesion, as they did in the final matches of last season. Bamber Bridge are one of the better teams in the division and scored in the 34th and 76th minutes. Hyde's next match is away to table-topping Radcliffe who have won both their matches this season.

808 away supporters on a Tuesday night - pretty good for the fifth division

Rob Harker smashed one in from 25 yards, we conceded from a set piece (all three goals conceded this season have been) and then - shock horror - scored the winner from a corner, something we seem strangely unable to do

Though presumably the results are published locally in Arabic script, which (if my knowledge is correct, admittedly it very well might not be) doesn't repeat in the same way as the transcriptions into the Latin alphabet do.
Alternatively, you just focus on the second word instead of the first- the example with English teams you've posted isn't in alphabetical order but it would be in the published results.

In other news, the "Lionesses" are in the World Cup Final after beating the "Matildas" by 3-1. Spain (if their women's team have a nickname I don't know it) await on Sunday. Well played, lasses. One more hurdle to overcome!

National League probably the best level of football in the UK all things considered. A great mix of big Ex league clubs, established big non league clubs and those smaller non league clubs who are just fighting to stay at that level.

I know the big ex league clubs absolutely hate being in that division but the likes of us (Wealdstone) always gain great delight in beating them occasionally.

Ebbsfleet and Borehamwood two rotten little clubs who happen to have a lot of money.

“La Roja” (the Red One) apparently. They’re going to be tough opponents on Sunday, England could spend the match chasing around for the ball.

England played well, but until the third goal it always felt like Australia could nick one. The third place match on Saturday might be worth watching too.

Wealdstone is a lovely little club. It was actually my local team when I was a toddler, when the Stones still played at Lower Mead, and I still look for their results.

I was in Ruislip for the MK Dons friendly game this summer and the club is just perfect for non league. Lovely little clubhouse and cheap beer (for London!) to boot. Appreciated the lack of segregation as well.

National League is definitely the best value league all round in England for all the reasons you state.

The worst was the commentator and Andy Hinchcliffe both repeatedly saying that had the Leeds defender who was on the goal line actually been behind the line, it would have been offside. The most ludicrous lack of basic knowledge of the offside law

Hyde have really had a bad start to this season and are nothing like the team that were in the top three for most of last season, until form deserted then in the last six matches of that season. This away match at table-topping Radcliffe was surprising in that Hyde only lost 2-0, the same scoreline in the mid-week away match defeat at Bamber Bridge. It was goal-less at half time, but Radcliffe scored twice (one a penalty) in the first 15 minutes of the second half.

The proverbial game of two halves. Oxford hanging on at 1-0 down at half time having spent the first half playing with a back five and two defensive midfielders, second half they came out and had a go and scored a deserved equaliser. Halifax suffering from our usual dominance of possession but lack of end product

Quite honestly Spain should have put this game to bed already. England need to put in a job in the second half as Spain have had most of the possession and most of the chances.

I think England’s tactics were naive in the first half and lacked composure in the second. Setting up with a back three with wingers but expecting to press high just meant we were vulnerable on the counter attack, which is known to be Spain’s tactical strength. Then taking off the point (wo)man meant after the break we didn’t have the offensive edge we needed in attack. I think Wiegman’s been a bit found-out with this one, not quite the invincible genius everyone seemed to claim she is.
