Contracts of that length are likely to have a break clause in them, so he is unlikely to be getting 5 years pay.I read that Drunken Duncan had a five year contract which is absolutely insane.

Also known as The Birdman of Barlinnie.Or as he was known back in the day, Duncan Disorderly
How very exciting.Mason Mount has completed his move to Manchester United from Chelsea & has been given the number 7 shirt.
The No. 7 shirt presumably worked really well for Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford the second time around?!Mason Mount has completed his move to Manchester United from Chelsea & has been given the number 7 shirt.
To me, that number 7 has been worn by a number of notable players since Matt Busby was managing the club. The No. 7 shirt presumably worked really well for Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford the second time around?!
Bradford City were at Gigg Lane yesterday for friendly against Bury FC, with City winning 6-0 in the end.Pre-season local friendlies....
Hyde United 2 ... Bury AFC 2
Hyde United 0 ... Oldham Athletic 0.......Oldham played two full team squads, one in each half.

Well done England for winning the u21s Euros. Without conceding a goal either.
He didn't miss, it was saved. And great credit to the keeper for that and for blocking the follow up.Yes indeed, and what a pleasure to see the Spaniard who lay prostrate on the turf for a full two minutes miss his penalty after his miraculous recovery!
I saw the semi final on EUFA TV free via the laptop casting to the tv. I presume the other games were shown. It was a great win by the England U21’s to win the tournament, just a shame that the whole of the tournament was not televised.

Indeed. Certainly, in a "penalty shoot out" scenario, it only really matters if the kick either resulted in a goal being scored or, if it was missed/saved, no goal was scored. Is it not common practice to say a penalty was missed, whether it failed to hit the target or was saved by the keeper?
Maybe but where a penalty has been saved I prefer to see the 'keeper getting the credit.Indeed. Certainly, in a "penalty shoot out" scenario, it only really matters if the kick either resulted in a goal being scored or if it was missed/saved, i.e. no goal was scored.

I didn't see the game, but if this was the "last kick of the game" penalty save Talksport is hyping it up to be, why was a rebound even allowed? I thought that in this circumstance they extend the match for the penalty to be taken, but that is it. No rebound or anything. As if it was part of a shootout. But I wouldn't be surprised if Talksport have been highly inaccurate. It was a great win by the England U21’s to win the tournament, just a shame that the whole of the tournament was not televised.
It was perceived to be the last kick of the game before it was taken but afterwards play continued for about a minute. I find it difficult to believe that Talksport could be considered inaccurate though!I didn't see the game, but if this was the "last kick of the game" penalty save Talksport is hyping it up to be, why was a rebound even allowed? Weak refereeing to not end it immediately after the miss.It was perceived to be the last kick of the game before it was taken but afterwards play continued for about a minute. I find it difficult to believe that Talksport could be considered inaccurate though!
If there was time on his watch to play, then he did the right thing. He's not there to make things easy, and playing out the due amount of time isn't a weakness.Weak refereeing to not end it immediately after the miss.

Believe it's exactly the same situation for Tiverton Town. For the second season running, Winchester City are being made to go to Merthyr on a Tuesday night. I want to know just what the Southern League are playing at.
