We're under no illusions that doing anything beyond finishing bottom will be a huge task, but if we can maintain being hard to beat we should get a few more than 11 points. We know we need to strengthen and that has to be done on a tight budget. We get £100m for promotion, and of that a good part is spoken for before we start signing players - £12m or so on getting Kenilworth Road ready for PL football, £25m set aside to get our new stadium started (in December) and an undisclosed amount for bonuses and contingency payments on transfers due on being promoted - but there will be a budget available for players. However, the one certainty is that if we get relegated at the end of next season we will be well set for the future with a new ground under construction and a board who aren't going to let us get into financial difficulties, because they always plan for the longer term.
