Flight Help - South East - Belfast

Dear all,

I would like to go to Belfast at the end of this month. I would like to fly out on the 23rd and back on the 28th. I am having trouble working out how to sort out the cheapest fare.

I live in MK and I am happy to fly from any airport between Birmingham and London and by any airline. I don’t really mind if I fly into an airport other than Belfast as long as I can get to and from Belfast easily by public transport! What are transport links like into Belfast? Norn Iron is a mystery to me! Someone suggested flying into Dublin and tasking the train form there. Is that sensible?

Can anyone help me out? I don’t fly much as I don’t like it so it is all a bit foreign to me. Can I not take the train

Flybe BHX-BHD starts from £120 return with hand luggage only. (Can't remember the limits)

Easyjet from LTN-BFS is from £89 return with hand luggage only (ICAO Size - any weight you can carry)

Both include Booking Fees with a Debit card... and sourced from Flybe.com and easyjet.com this afternoon for the dates you requested.

Just to add aswell. If you have Nectar Points then you can put them towards Easyjet flights. 500pts = £2.50 off - you need to book through http://www.nectar.com/easyjet/index.rnectar to spend the points though.

I like to use SkyScanner, it's fairly easy to understand and adjust things.

If you click on the "Flexible?" link you can change airports/dates.

A quick scan shows return flights with easyJet from Southend or Luton for £69.

Depends which way you are going.

If direct into Belfast port it is twice the price of going via Dublin, from here.

There's also a Liverpool sailing.

That may be so but you can't buy a rail ticket for it.

The 3 (or 4 or 6 depending how you look at it) routes available for railsail are:

CAIRNRYAN STENA - domestic route direct to Belfast Port - through tickets to NI destinations

HLYHD STENA CIV ---\
HOLYHD STENA SHP --\ via Dublin (using the Enterprise for NI) -
HLYHD IRISHF CIV ----/ through tickets to Erie and NI destinations avalible
HLYHD SWIFT CIV ---/

FSHGRD STENA CIV - through tickets no longer avalible due to extreamly limited rail services, but through tickets from Dublin to limited UK destinations were available last summer.
