Think that 53401 may be a regular thing on 174 now.

Wells only have 2 spares. A Streetdeck seems to be off 376 each day, so technically they only have 1 spare.

Bit surprised they moved 69448, as that could've been another spare - and very useful if the rumour about the B7s being refurbished.

Firms usually work on a c.12% spares ratio (or thereabouts) so 2 spares is about right.

As I've mentioned before, I'd like to see the 173/4 get refurbed B7RLEs and even with the Mendip Explorer brand. Think there's more growth to be had!

I'm not sure which, if any is VOR, but Wells now have twenty buses in the depot to cover a pvr of 17.5.
3 x 126
1 x 161
3 x 173
3 x 174
7.5 x 376

60912 on 126 at 5.30 with a Wells driver. So now i'm not sure if 60912 is based in Weston with the 126 board or based in Wells?

69439 on 376
60912 126
69443/7 173

BoS seem to now have got into the habit of using the depot for the 25 min break, rather than sitting in the bus station.

44912 on 174 today - that must be nice going up from Dunkerton to Peasedown. Still I guess it advertises A2 to other areas :)

What so the two e200s that went to Wells for 67 are the two branded for A2? That's a bit off considering there were loads of others to choose from.

Three have allegedly gone across, two in barbie, one being 44913. They could well be on a cycle working back to Weston via the 126 or 20 somehow? I'm guessing 42895/916 are replacing them at Weston, with the Solos carrying on in Bath for the moment.

On the subject of Weston the ex Bath Uni Bus ALX400s now have basic branding for Coast 20.

Well they aren't working that sort of cycle.

There are only 2 E200s - 44912/3 - 44912 in A2 branding and 44913 in Barbie. These 2 and the solo are working 67, with one being spare each day - usually 44912, which went on 174, just in the same way that 53401 went on 174 last week.

I don't think we'll see a cycle like that - 20 needs deckers in summer, 126 needs saloons and 67 needs solos/E200s.

44913 took its turn on 174 today.

69443 126 - bit jumpy through the gears too

I also saw each of the ex Wells B7s in Bristol:
69448 X8
69457 46
69458 Bus Station
Also saw 42965 in its new Mint Route livery

We used the 1200 Weston to Wells service last Tuesday.
I was surprised how busy it was between Weston and Winscombe.
We returned on the 1530 journey which picked up a lot of school children in Wells, and then at further points on route.

Noted from a recent fleetbook that I have that 60912-14 have transferred in from Bath this year.

And back out again :D Had a trip on 60912 late last year - more rattles than Mothercare!

In my experience, the 126 can take some decent loads albeit mainly ENCTS passes, and the Weston end is definitely the busier end of things with Winscombe being a particular passenger source

Got a copy of 67 timetable that started today.

It runs Wookey Hole - Wells every hour, Wells-churchill road every 2 hours and Wells - Burnham every 2 hours. it also does some stupid loop in Burnham.

Interesting that, as Webberbus designed this confusing mess if a timetable, they actually cut back the frequency on a service.

I expect a change to 67 within the next week or so - I assume that First are having to add on extra buses as usual to cope with the change - or unless it is possible to go from Burnham at 14.38 to Wells for 14.40. It's obviously meant to work around school work, but it is so confusing, it's as bad as 375 timetable.

Is that "stupid loop" to part replace the 113?

When myself and two friends rode on it just over a week ago it does go around the houses after Highbridge on part of the old 113 route then runs onto the esplanade before terminating at Pier Street facing in the Highbridge direction.
Go have a ride on it, as it's a lovely route to travel on.
Cheers, Mike R

First of all, thanks for the PM with the times - really appreciated that.

The loop round Talbot Close keeps the 5 daily journeys that were on the 113 (which is lost to Berrow). Think I may have to have a try of the 67 soon

Had a rather lucky journey this evening. I needed to use up my day ticket, so went on 17.10 173 to Bath with 69445 and the best looking driver in Wells depot. Then luckily caught the 18.00 39 to Bristol, which was running 45 mins late with 37757. Got into Bristol at 19.30 with moments to spare for 35166 on 376. Lucky indeed.

173 didn't have many from Wells but was pretty well loaded getting into Bath. 39 was very busy. 376 had about 10 on.
