This is from a manager at wyvern and another manager from another bus company so I can say its top notch however I can't say yet until its been announced publicly
Is this from the same source that said Uno had bought Northampton?
Basically from the Redditch local newspaper first at possibly increase services in Redditch to compete against Rotala who are also looking at increasing services.
I believe it was the standard. But it has been confirmed by a few people at different companies that Rotala at least are surveying on the Red Diamond site about service provision.
I'm surprised Dorset wasn't sold? Do they make lots of profit?

Found this gem from Wigan depot on Flickr courtesy of a user named 'The Real Mad Haggis' - copyright obviously to them. http://www.flickr.com/photos/63797212@N02/8235645434/

So it seems some quite young vehicles are going then, do we know what vehicles they are getting?
I was thinking that First were going to use the disposals to get rid of some of their older fleet to help them get to the deadline of accessible fleet quicker, as with other sell offs they seemed to be sending oldest vehicles to the operations.
But sending a 2007 Gemini out goes against that.
been beaten to it, but never mind

it did seem rather odd seeing the beach ball on a barbie bus. I did ponder going to Wigan, but its a bit cold for me today, so I satisifed myself with the first journey from Piccadilly instead
Apparently there is going to be something happening in midland red west as I've heard something interesting Will happen

Posts like these really annoy me on Forums, if you can't reveal the full details then don't bother posting, posts like this until it's official news.:-x
exchange rate in 2003: 1 = £ 1.44
Today rate is 1 = £0.8043
Your 2003 exchange rate is still wrong. 1 has never been worth more than £1.
I shall be changed by the end of the day.
I should hope so, considering you've made the same mistake twice
Nonetheless, this whole betting thing has given an interesting perspective on the sell-off series, so thank you.
NEW First Glasgow No2:
DO NOT GET THIS MIXED up with FiG no1 which covers must of inner Glasgow, FiG no2 cover Dumbarton, Cumbernauld, Blntyre, Overtown.

Biggest loss-makers - Islwyn Borough Transport (20.2%) and East London Bus & Coach (11.9%), with First following with its Devon & Cornwall company on 9.3% and Glasgow No 2 business on 7.3%.
It should be point out and made clear, Dumbarton has been give 40 brand new buses. So its Lanarkshire that the trouble, in September a number of cut backs were put in place, but a new name was introduced. but with losses like that in SUCH what should be a great bus area is strange. First has already shut North Devon down to get rid of the loses......
* Any Depot BAR Dumbarton to be sold 6/4
FG2 is basically three companies - Dumbarton, Cumbernauld and Lanarkshire (yes, Cumbernauld is "north Lanarkshire", but "Lanarkshire" to me is more about the Hamilton/ Motherwell conurbation).
Dumbarton could be pretty much a stand alone operation (there are limited stop services into Glasgow but these are fairly isolated). I could see it fitting with McGills (who do a similar job on the other side of the Clyde).
Cumbernauld has been linked with Stagecoach before, but there would be competition issues I guess. (South) Lanarkshire? A strange one. First have spent some money buying out competitors to try to shore up market share. It'd be a big operation for another company to take over, and potentially a rival company on some key corridors into Glasgow - that would be quite a risk for First.
I'd be interested in a break up.
Dorset have come a heck of a long way over the last year or two. Before this whole series was announced, it wouldn't have been a surprise to see Weymouth touted for sale - instead, it was quite possibly the first "smaller"/non-PTE operation to have the new livery. They have also been starting to make in-roads into the far more valuable market of Poole/Bournemouth.
