As thought previous the 242 will be roughly every 30 mins but with a near 20-25 min layover at Holytown now which will remove the need for the extra pek bus for the extended Maxim journeys.

Just had a look there and observed some crazy headways.
Also difficult to tell if there will be any sort of coordination between 209, 211 and 242 on the New Stevenston to Motherwell corridor.
It is now up, half hourly in the morning peak Monday to Friday then hourly Monday to Friday and on Saturday.

Bad enough Stagecoach's E400MMCs and E200MMCs being restricted to 50mph due to them being hammered on the M80 all day and having Engine issues, Stupid games and Stupid prizes springs to mind, horrendous for timekeeping as well and they stick them on the X74 as well and always end up late at either end, Absolutely everything overtaking you even artics, First's E400MMCs are 62mph mostly, Voith Gearbox isn't the best for high speed stuff either, absolutely screaming at high speeds, BYD E400EVs only do about 43mph max again horrific on the motorway, Only electric stuff I've noticed that go past 50mph is the Yutong electric coaches

Volvo Olympians and the AH Volvo Citybuses transferred from Parkhead and Knightswood in the early 2000s were absolutely fine on the old X4/X5. The Volvo Geminis like 37740 onwards were good on the motorway when they were new but are gubbed now.
What it seems to mean by "new vehicles" is a fleet that is new to the X25, a.k.a. the First Glasgow fleet, rather than new vehicles for First Glasgow. The TOTO system being mentioned seems to suggest this. Although I can certainly see why it is misleading.

33391 SK19 EOB & 33393 SK19 EOD moved to Caledonia last night Joining 33394 that moved a few weeks ago due to some more of the Newpowers entering service in Scotstoun, Definitely feel the 77 is getting a Downgrade in all aspects, Only 3 of the Streetdecks have USBs out all the ones Scotstoun currently have and less seats on board

It is a bit disappointing that a busy route like the 77 is losing newer buses. I understand the repowers have been heavily refurbished but they’re still about 10 years old.
It would be nice to see some new E400EVs for Scotstoun and to see them used on the 2 but that’s highly unlikely.
Cally seems to always get the newer buses,scotstoun management need to buck up and start shouting for more newer buses, defo need double deckers for the 2 and 3 for the dumbarton rd corridor

Apologies if someone has already put this on and I have missed it but I saw today about a new X44 route linking Newarthill, Holytown, Bellshill and Glasgow starting at the end of April. I presume against JMB?

No one else saw that coming, but it's a clever move by first as its now give Bellshill a direct/fast buses to Glasgow. Surprised this wasn't the route of JMB X5.

Will be interesting to see the timetable, and to see if numbers on the 240 decrease slightly (although I know very few people must use that service end to end).
Perhaps Scotstoun should trade the Repowers to Caledonia for some newer or brand new E400 evs for the 77 and 2/3 routes.
The Repowers are perfect for Cross City routes. Although could use some usb sockets and some working route indoor displays. Was on one yesterday on a 2 giving away it's previous heritage as West of England v4.3. At least it was switched off and had not just been removed.
