So much for them wanting to standardise the diesel fleet
There is nothing wrong with the E400s we would have been getting (unlike the Glasgow ones). I assume they are needed elsewhere so we are getting Volvo B9TLs to replace the Citaros.

With 37738 being recently repainted into urban livery - why aren't we seeing the new First Bus livery on Geminis like down south?

37738 was done a couple of months ago now before it was made a decision to go with a new corporate livery

the middle of pointless protests
The Gemini’s are also getting the new livery?
Yep, within West Yorkshire both 37693 and 37724 got repainted a couple of weeks ago. This comes from these posts:
37693, YJ09 OAH, becomes the first Halifax B9 to be repainted into corpo purple (Photo shared with permission)
For those who may be interested, the cooperative livery has begun to be applied to Wrightbus Eclipse Geminis. In this livery, the photo below shows what they look like. (The photo is not mine). The bus repainted is 37724 (YJ09OBV).

I’m guessing 37187 & 37192 are going to be repainted into that livery then, as it seems like they’re due for a repaint soon (especially 37192, which is starting to show it’s old Barbie paintwork).

I doubt Glasgow’s native B9TLs will be repainted into the new livery. The oldest of the batch are now 17 years old. They will probably slowly start phasing them out in the next year or so. It would make sense to keep the ex-Manchester buses in the urban livery to match the existing fleet.

They're still not even entered traffic yet, Wonder if we'll see any out tomorrow since the service changed have taken effect today.

Need I remind you of Plaxton President 33120 (LT02 NWC), which got repainted into Urban, as well as the handful of ALX400s and Wright Renowns.

Shows you that First will still repaint old buses.

The rest of the Manchester B9s are getting the new livery, 37187 and 192 should get it too

It never fails to amaze me how all these buses can sit for months gathering dust awaiting service prep when they're supposedly short on vehicles. They've had those Ex-London Enviro200s for a number of years now and i still don't think all have actually entered service yet?

It must just be the fact they want to do all of there own vehicles but simply don’t have the capacity to speed up the process.

The ex-London Enviros were painted and converted to single door at Blackburn Bus & Coach World, being delivered to Caledonia already in livery

And the big mystery of the rebuilt 34368. What is happening with that? Been sitting around best part of a year.

33262 off over a year, 64130 last reported in bits in Caledonia, 67834 off since February, plus the 473xx Streetlites mostly sitting around. Wonder if they will end up at Overtown to see off the last of the 446xx leased 200’s

Likewise with the Ex-Manchester Geminis quite a number (if not most) have been repainted and fully retrimmed, yet are just sat doing nothing.

For an operator that size service prep on a few vehicles is no big deal. As mentioned most have already been repainted and retrimmed only to be parked up and dumped.

You can add 33918 to that list too. Came to Aberdeen on loan last summer, returned to Glasgow in September 2023 for repaint at which point it was officially transferred, only to repeatedly breakdown a couple of miles from Caledonia each time they tried to take it back north. Seems they eventually gave up on it as 33920 was repainted/retrimmed and transferred to Aberdeen at the start of 2024 in its place with 33918 on paper returning back to Glasgow. Flash forward almost a year and its still sat at Caledonia gathering dust.

64130 is off for water ingress and electrical issues, the 473xx lites are all goosed to put it politely

The ex-Manchester Geminis were apparently meant to be in service from today. However, that's not happened either.

47394 was repaired after an accident. Hasn’t turned a wheel in service since coming back. I guess First know what they are doing but it looks weird.
Most of the 4739x buses (and 47464) have been at Dumbarton, doing nothing for nearly a year or so (I think).

47392, 47393, and 47397 are the only active ones right now, still at Scotstoun depot.

Yeah, 37189 was one of the last Urban repaints I think. So now it’s the new livery for all future repaints, does it have a nickname?

34368 has been given the new livery.
Does this mean they are finally going to put it back into service?

Also, E200 44441 is working at Caledonia right now, must be on cover right now.

34368 is out on the 14:41 60 service from Clydebank to Easterhouse right now.
